Help Chicago dis'ers spa suggestions

I need some help from the good folks of Chicago.

My best girlfriend is undergoing chemo right now for breast cancer and I am thinking ahead and planning a little "girls only" trip to the Windy City for us next summer. As a Christmas gift, I'd like to give her a gift certificate for a "spa morning" there and what I need are some suggestions for spas in the downtown area. I am looking for somewhere both hera and I could enjoy a "stone massage" pedicure, etc.

Then I need some suggestions for where to go for lunch> We've been to Ed Debvics (sp?) and have walked around Navy Pier a few years ago....but I am looking for something different!

In the Chicago area and suburbs, I've always gone to Mario Tricoci. They're pretty well known in the area. Check out the website. www.tricoci.com. As for lunch, theres a Cheesecake Factory downtown, or Bubba Gump Shrimp at Navy Pier...both of those are good places for groups.

You could also try the Red Door Salon, Elizabeth Arden, on Michigan Ave. It is posh and will make your friend feel very 5 star.
