I may have to travel on business in 2 weeks to the states and they want me to fly out of Toronto - NO PASSPORT!!

I have all of the paperwork done, photos in hand and signature....is there an office in Toronto or in Ottawa (I am going there on Tuesday and Wednesday next week) were I can get it done immediatley??

We received ours in less than a week earlier this year. They will ask you when submitting how fast you need it back. I'm sure you can get your new one in 2 weeks.

Good luck.

There are several locations in or around the Toronto and Ottawa areas to apply for your passport in person. I applied for my daughter's and had it back within 10 days. They did ask if I needed it earlier but I didn't. You will have to go and pick it up though.

You can check out the Passport Canada website for locations closest to you. I personally applied for my DDs in Whitby. I have heard the Toronto locations are very busy. Whitby location was only about an hour wait.

HTH!!

Do your paperwork online. It is faster in the actual office. My mom got hers in just under 2 weeks from the Ottawa office. They give you a reciept with the delivery date on it.

I always go to the passport office beside Scarborough town centre. If you have proof of travel (like your ticket) then they can do next day service.

Hope that helps!

If it is an emergency, you can go directly to a Passport offce and with proof from a Itinerary and by paying an additional fee, you can have your passport in 24 hours. Otherwise with direct drop off at a Passport office, the standard time is two weeks now.

There is a Passport office downtown on Victora Street I think and one at Yonge and Sheppard. Check the Passport Website.

My boss realized he misplaced his hours before his flight. He was able to get it done in hours. But it cost a fortune to do that!

Ours is Disney related!!

We planned to take the kids down to WDW this Aug 1, thinking the kids passports expired in 2009.. they didn't! They expired July 31st 2008!!! and i found this out on July 30th!!!

In a panic, i went down to Scarborough Town Center at noon, presented their apps, id and our travel confirmation.. paid the $65 for their passports, and a $100 rapid processing fee..

July 31, at 11 am.. i picked them up... and away we went..

As long as you have the confirmation and the $$$ it takes no time at all.

Did mine 2 weeks ago-went to Mississauga on Mon--it was Express posted back to me on WEDNESDAY! Sister did hers this Past week-again at Miss. went on Wed, collected on Friday. Not bad!

and print out paperwork... they have a separate line up at the office for people who do it this way and it is fast because they already have your info in their system. Got mine in 5 business days but you can get it with 48 hrs too I believe for $$$

I applied for our passports Sept. 8 and got them this Thursday the 18th - only 10 days!

I went to the Hull/Gatineau office on Promenade du Portage and had them back in 2 weeks. I've heard the Ottawa office on Sparks is a lot busier than Hull's.
