Tried to make a reservation 60 days in advance, but no times were available. How soon does the window open? At midnight? Can a res be made by phone or is online better way? What is the earliest time available? Are day of res really possible?

Yes, they are possible. People have reported having good luck with last minute reservations as cancellations happen.

It opens at midnight but either spaces are extremely limited or it is really popular. I wanted a photo session on my 25th anniversary on 10/4. We are doing a split stay heading to the Contemporary on 10/3. I logged in at midnight at 60 days from first part of the trip and only two slots showed and only on 10/3. I booked one as a backup plan thankfully because 10/4 never showed any availability. I tried calling and they checked the schedule but had no availability.
