Help! Cape May or 1900 Park Fare for Breakfast

I can't decide so thought I would come here for help.

DH and I will be going to WDW the first week in November and want to do a character breakfast with 2 year old DD.

Which would be better for our daughter in regards to atmosphere - Cape May or 1900 Park Fare for breakfast?

Which restaurant has the better food?

We went to Chef Mickey's and want to try something different this year.

Here's my take on both:

Cape May: It's a smaller restaurant, so you'll have less wait time between characters. This place features Goofy, Chip and Dale dressed in beach wear. They travel from table to table, but it can be quiet a while before any one of them gets around. Minnie simply greets guests as they enter the restaurant. The food is pretty good, in my opinion. I love alot of fresh fruit for breakfast, and they have LOTS of it (grapes, cantaloupe, melon, etc). They also serve pancakes, mickey waffles, and lots of "kid" cereals. This place has a very relaxed atmosphere.

1900: Bigger buffet that features made-to-order omelets (yummy!). It's a larger restaurant, and also more crowded. I found that the buffet line moved very, very slowly here but I was really pleased with the selection of food. The characters are from Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan (at least when we were there). As I recall, we saw Alice, the Mad Hatter, Peter Pan, Gepetto, Mary Poppins and one or two others. The characters moved really spent alot of time interacting with everyone, not just the kids.

In short, both places are really enjoyable.

After looking at the menu for cape may Im interested in your question as well here is a bump for you. Can you got on the mrail from cape may or how close is it to Epcot?

We also have had very good experiences at both these restaurants. The omelet station is a big attraction for some members of my family, so they like Park Faire. Personally, I like Krispy Kreme donuts, though, which are only at Cape May. When we were a Cape May, late ps (10, I think) on a Saturday in June. The restaurant was almost empty, and the characters stayed so long it was hard to eat but lots of fun. We had the first ps time (7:30 a.m.) at 1900 Park Faire and had no trouble with lines or character interaction, but there were a lot of people waiting to get in when we left.

In answer to Mercenary's question -- Cape May is very close (5 minutes or so) from the back (World Showcase) entrance to EPCOT, which makes it pretty far from the Monorail. To get to the monorail, you have to walk to the entrance, go through security, go into the park, then walk all the way through EPCOT. To go from Cape May to MK, take the bus.

Thanks for the replies. My DH has decided where we are going. When he asked where these restaurants were, as soon as I said "Grand Floridian", DH husband exclaimed, "That's the one!". So, I guess we'll be going to 1900 Park Fair.

You won't be disappointed. I much prefer 1900 PF over Cape May. The character interaction is good at both but Chip and Dale, Goofy and Minnie are easily seen at other buffets (Hollywood & Vine in MGM-DS or Chip & Dale w/ Farmer Mickey at the Garden Grill in EpCot) and it's much harder to find the Pinnoccio Bunch IMO. Also as someone stated above, the food selection (especially the omelet bar) is much better. Also unless you're staying at the Yacht or Beach Club or Boardwalk Resorts, 1900 PF will be more convenient if done on the day you'll be visiting the MK
