HELP! Can't get any reservations :(

We booked our WDW trip 'last minute' aka two months ahead...and since its less than 60 days away there aren't many restaurants available that we would like to go to...Be Our Guest, California Grill, etc. Any tips on getting into these places?

Have you called Disney or are you doing this online? I have found that calling is much easier.

Also, keep in mind that people will cancel closer to time, so 45 days out is a great day to check because that's when the packages must be paid off. Some will wait until the last minute to cancel.

Also, keep checking back because people will make changes until the last minute.

I am having a hard time with Thanksgiving day myself. We just changed our dates and I couldn't get the time right on this day for eating at Ohana. We have a 9:15 pm ADR and my hubby informed me that the Ravens will be playing football that night. How does he even keep up will all of that? Anyway, I need to make a change for that one so I will keep checking too.

Keep checking online multiple times a day to see if anyone cancels. It's a matter of luck that you're checking at the same time someone cancels. Be flexible with the date and time or meal.

Of the places you mentioned - Be Our Guest is currently the most difficult reservation to get. If nothing comes up for dinner you can walk up for lunch because it is a Counter Service and no reservations are accepted. California Grill is closed for renovation and isn't expected to re-open until September at the earliest so no reservations are being accepted at this time.

Good luck getting into Be Our Guest. It is notoriously difficult to secure a reservation, even 180 days out. I have heard stories of others asking at the podium as soon as they open and getting lucky. The worst they can say is "no".

As has already been stated, California Grill is closed for refurb and will be down until some time in September. Keep an eye out for when they open up reservations for it.

If nothing else, take this opportunity to try some new places! You never know, you may find a new favorite!

Just keep trying! We got a late start, too (3 months out), but I just got the ones I wanted after several days of trying. Check multiple times a day and play around with seating times. For example, I was making the mistake of searching "breakfast". Nothing came up. I started searching by time and my desired time came up!

California Grill has not yet re-opened and is not yet taking reservations. It appears like it will re-open Sept 29th, but since it's not taking reservations yet, it's not possible to know if that date is accurate.

My recommendation is to go for less popular restaurants or restaurants with larger capacity. For example, it's usually very easy to get a reservation at Biergarten, GF Cafe, The Wave, WP Cafe. We've had meals in those places with last minute ADRs and were pleasantly surprised, while we would not return to some of the popular places (e.g., Ohana). For a Cali Grill substitute, try a different Signature. Look over the menus and see if any of them appeal to you.
