HELP!!!! Can't get a hold of TA (Small World vacations) UPDATE, She called!!

Today is the day I need to make my final payment for our vacation, but I can't get a hold of TA! I am normally a calm person, but I am freaking out! We booked through Small World Vacations, and have been very pleased with the level of service, but I can't believe I can't get a hold of her to give her the final payment. Can I call WDTC direct? Any suggestions?

Our TA just called and our trip is saved!! Now I will sleep tonight. Thanks for the help guys!
 
First of all, if you call WDTC - they won't speak to you because the TA owns that reservation.

Is there any other number you have for the agency aside from the one for your TA? did you try sending an email to the agency direct as opposed to just your agent just in case they are on holiday?

Is it possible they kept your card number on file and have applied payment on your behalf already?

I am hoping she made the payment on my CC, but I called the CC company and nothing has posted on my account.

I checked the website for the company and could find no phone number. I was able to find a email addy for Sue Pisaturo, the founder of the company. I emailed her with my predicament, but heard nothing from her.

I emailed the TA yesterday asking when would be a good time for her to call and make the final payment, and received no response as of tonight. I have called periodically throughout the day only to get the answering machine, which I have left 2 messages. At this point I feel sick to my stomach. I usually book everything myself, but decided to go through a TA since I don't know much about the packages (we booked the MYW w/free dining). Up to today we were really pleased with our experience. But I can't believe I could lose my vacation because of this. Not to mention the fact, this is the first time we are flying to Orlando, non-refundable tickets of course!
 
From my experience with AAA, I think it is okay to be late for a few days.

I booked through AAA for my coming trip and suddenly on a weekend I remembered that I had not made the final payment, hence I called CRO and offered to pay. CRO told me that they could not take my payment and have to go through the TA. I asked him what would happen to my reservation, he said normally it would stay on the system for a "few" days before the system cancells it, they will be no penalty if I were to pay late.

On the following Monday, I left a message to my TA, asked him to extend one day and reminded him that I had not paid the final payment. He called me back and have me okay the CC payment.

I think I was late about 7 days.

just an fyi...your ressie does not cancel if payment isnt made that day. we did an oops one time, and were 10 days late @@ (out of town, on another vacation...cant think of a future vacation while on a current vacation right?) our swv agent tried to contact us, but apparently the boondocks has poor cell reception :D anyways, when we got back i called immediately, and everything was fine. she told me that, no worries, they usually dont cancel ressies until about 2 weeks out without payment, and worst case she would have covered it for me till i got ahold of her, but having booked umpteen trips through her, shes gotten to know that i DO NOT cancel wdw trips!! :rotfl:

I wonder if you have the same agent at Small World that I have. She's in the process of 'relocating' and won't be back in the office until 8/22. The email I sent her was returned back to me as undeliverable, and the cell number I have for her goes to some guy's voicemail. I wanted to make some ADR changes that can't wait until the 22nd, so I guess I'll have to handle it myself. I've never really had much luck with TA's.
 
Glad to hear that she call. I have worked with Small World many times and they always respond within 24 hours.

I noticed your post was at 7pm EST. Did you call during her office hours? It surprises me that you didn't get a response back, everyone I have worked with is very prompt. For final payments, they always contact me the week before to confirm all the information.

I would be really sure there was a problem before I posted here. Words can be very harmful without people knowing the whole story.
 
Help! Now I'm confused. i booked thru Small World for the end of November first week of December and made my deposit. I was told that I wouldn't pay anything more until the day I check in. What's the normal procedure? TIA
 
If you book a room only reservation only the 1st nights deposit is due. They will take the balance when you check in.

It's when you book the whole package that there is a final due date.

I leave next Saturday and still have questions and need to make some ADR changes as well. I called the number as well...its a college kid in class :earseek: said his teachers are getting pretty mad that his phone keeps ringing :rolleyes: anyway try the #4 as the last number for the cell number she left. thats what I have on my caller Id when she called a week ago...tried it just a few moments ago and it just rang...i'll keep trying till I get her tho ;) Tammy Carr

You can always contact the owner of the agency directly, that would be my first step instead of posting here, the owner would be able to help you but the people on these boards can't really do anything for you when you are trying to contact your agent.
 
SWV has always been very prompt in getting back with us, and keeping us in the loop. Our final payment is due next week, and my agent emailed me a few days ago to make sure we knew, and to verify our payment method. I am sure they wouldn't have left you out in the cold, had you not been able to get ahold of the agent.

Anyway, glad everythign is cool now.

Sorry, I have to disagree. While some of you may have a good opinion with the agency, there is nothing wrong with the OP, when she could not find her agent and even admitting that she was freaking out, hence asking for suggestions.

You can always contact the owner of the agency directly, that would be my first step instead of posting here, the owner would be able to help you but the people on these boards can't really do anything for you when you are trying to contact your agent.

I would normally agree, but as I was unaware that my reservation would be there in the morning, I turned to the Disboard in an attempt to possibly catch the attention of anyone who worked at SWV.

I need to reiterate, I have been very pleased with SWV and our TA. The reason I was in such a panic last night was because we have had an excellent level of communication with the TA until yesterday. When she called last night she was very apologetic for missing my call, and did indeed reassure me that my vacation would not have vanished into thin air had I not made my payment yesterday. But, again, I did not realize that. All I could think last night was that here I would be stuck with non-refundable airline tickets to Orlando for a week with no vacation.

This has been the first time I have used a TA, so not fully understanding the process, I turned to the DIS community for guidance.......
