Ok guys

Need advice.

We are going on our first trip without kids to Disney. This will be my fiancee's first vacation ever in his life, so I wanted to make it special. He's been a blessing to me!

I have been a DVCer for 8 years now and love it. (hehe, ex got the furniture, I got the DVC! I made out good!)

8 days, 7 nights for 2 adults (Beach Club Villas).

We dont want to skimp on meals or doing what we want to because of a budget. So we have been stashing all we can each week.

I worked in $50 per person per day for meals, however that seems too low to me. We can easily spend $60 on a nice meal at night. We dont usually eat breakfast, so perhaps one day going to for a nice brunch or something.

Let me know if you think I am lacking or miscalculating.

Airlines are paid for and I have DVC, so hotel is paid for in points.

Budget $2,640.00

Transportation $95.00
Tip Limo Arrival $10.00
Tip Limo Departure $10.00
Food $800.00
Park Tickets 2 adults $741.28

Total $1,656.28

Left over for Spending $983.72

Out of this spending, we want to try and book a cruise luncheon for one day and do some other things that neither of us has ever done like fishing or something adventurous. Perhaps one of the tours or something.

Have you checked out the menus on WWW.wdwig.com ? You should be able to get a good idea of what it will cost you for the places you want to eat. It is hard to say what is a reasonable amont as we all have different ideas about where to eat and how much you will eat. In 1997 My DH and I ate at the California Grill for our anniversary and spent a total of about $150 which included one drink each, wine with dinner and coffee. We had way too much food as we didn't realize that some of he "atarters and first course " items would easliy feed several people when combined with your entree. Your "budget" sounds reasonable to me if you use common sense. On that same trip we did breakfast at GF. Fortunately it was included as part of the package we had purchased as the total for that meal was $52. You might want to consider getting some of the food vouchers which can save you a bunch at B&C and the pepper market. I assume your ticket price is based on a UPH ticket - don't forget to ask for the 10% off. If you got 7 day PHP tickets from Hotwiresavings club or one of the ticket brokers you could have another $100-$150 for food and tours etc. Hope you have a great trip and good luck with your planning

Ticket prices are the 10% DVC discount included.

Most of our dinners will be at high end resturants and not burger/fry joints, so I would assume that dinner would average about $60-100 at least.

Lunch would be on the go, with the occasional sit down, so I would assume that would be about $20/piece.

Breakfast we usually skip, or would have a coffee/toast in the room.

So right there, I think I underestimated. Perhaps $150 a day for the two of us.

I dont have that much time before I go, and I have heard horror stories about Hotwire. Not sure if I want to use the vouchers and be limited in my choices. They might be good for the next trip with kids in tow.
