Help booking Luau on DDP

I am going in the end of July and wanted to book the Luau, we will be on DDP. Now because you have to pay ahead of time, they will not let you book the Luau using your 2 table service credits until you have paid for your DDP and want me to pay upfront over $400 for the six of us and then get reimbursed at the time! This has not happened in the past! Any suggestions? I don't usually pay for my ddp until right before we go, as this is a big chunk of money! As of right now I am just doing Ohana which is a fav!

As far as I know, the luau has always been pay in full up front (or at least for many years), unless you have the dining plan on your reservation already. I have never heard of anyone being able to book the luau without either paying in advance or using your DDP. If that happened to you, your experience must have been unique.

Same as with Hoop, CRT or anything else requiring pre-payment.

CRT and all 3 dinner shows (Hoop, Luau, Mickey's BBQ) require prepayment. They have for at least the past 4-5 years (and likely, much longer). The only exception is if you have a resort reservation with an acceptable dining plan attached to it (e.g. not QSDP.) Not sure what you experienced in the past, but unless you have a dining plan already on your reservation, it's going to require full prepayment.
