Help: Book Recommendations Needed

i know weve had several book threads here, but i couldnt find any. im burning through books fast, so im turning to my fellow DISers for some new material.

please list as many *good* books as you can come up with

if you want a book that will make you think, check out the handmaid's tale by margaret atwood. it's well written and thought-provoking, as opposed to the mindless crap that is twilight.

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley is pretty good, if you want a good 'thinking' book. If you just want an entertaining type of book, try The Host by Stephenie Meyer, I hear it's good.

And Then We Came To the End is hilarious, it's like the Office.

I enjoyed Fahrenheit 451 when I read it. I read it forever ago so I've forgotten most of it. I need to get myself a copy.

And apparently The Perks of Being A Wallflower is good (I haven't gotten myself a copy of it, they want like 25$ for a book that isn't thick and isn't hardcover).

City of Bones followed by City of Ashes is really good. I love this series and I'm really sad that it's only a trilogy. They're both by Cassandra Clare.

My Most Excellent Year: A Novel of Love, Mary Poppins, and Fenway Park by Steve Kluger is really funny and heartwarming and is definately a great read.
