I'll try to keep this short...Our last day at the World just got shortened by 2 hours due to a scheduling change by AirTran. To "make it up to myself" decided I would book a buffet breakfast (we don't usually do breakfast out, even though, I LOVE breakfast out!). Just DH and me, so didn't really need the characters...Found that Boma has a buffet breakfast. Have never been and it would be nice to try somewhere new. I did find it curious that in the midst of FD, I was able to choose my time to go! Anyone eaten breakfast at Boma? Did I make a mistake? I'm looking for atmosphere as much as the food. Have done Chef's Mickeys and CP when DD's were with us. What are your thoughts? :confused3

I think you made a really good choice! I love Boma.. both the food and the atmosphere. It's fun to take a peak in AK Lodge too. I think you'll really like it! Enjoy!

Don't change your ressie! My family and I have been to breakfast at Boma several times, and it's always great! In addition to the usual breakfast fare (omelettes, waffles, eggs, bacon, muffins, etc.), there will be carved meat stations, pastries (including Zebra domes!), and fruits. The CM's are attentive and lovely, and the atmosphere inside AKL is....well, magical!

While you're there, take the time to visit the overlook and check out the animals grazing on the different savannahs. :thumbsup2

Boma is wonderful. Walking through the AKL to get there is wonderful. The juice t hey serve is wonderful. Can you tell we think it is wonderful? We went for the first time this past September and it is our first meal this coming September.

the best breakfast at WDW. It is a little out of the way and doesn't have characters which makes it in less demand.

Thanks everyone for your quick replies. I'm feeling much better (about breakfast - still not happy with AirTran, but that's another issue!).
One more question if I may.....I have only allowed 1 hour and 15 minutes for breakfast, then we leave directly from AKL for MCO. We could arrive earlier (before ressie) to do some looking around. We will be driving our rental car to AKL. Will the hour and 15 be enough time to eat, enjoy the restaurant?

An hour and fifteen minutes should be plenty of time to eat leisurely and enjoy your meals. I have never had a long wait to be seated and the service has always been attentive. Sorry about your flight, but have a wonderful breakfast! The buffet at Boma is awesome. :thumbsup2
