Okay...so I am making my first set of shirts ever. I got the transfer paper and printed my designs. I printed them at work, reversed them and all. The colors weren't perfect but good enough. As I was trying to figure out why the colors weren't the most uniform I realized I was using a laser jet printer on ink jet transfer paper. My question is, when I iron it on will the picture still transfer??? I really hope so. Thanks!

I am not sure how they will transfer - maybe someone else will come around and let you know if they have done this.

But I wanted to post and say - do not put another inkjet sheet through your laser printer. The way a laser printer works - is it uses A LOT of heat to adhere the ink. You are very lucky that the printer did not just melt the sheets in your machine. Not only could it damage the sheets but also the machine itself.

I have heard others here say that they sell a special transfer for a lser printer but that it takes using a heat press to adhere them to the shirts.

I just wanted to let you know before you possibly ruined your machine. I hope someone comes around with experience on your original question.

OMG!!! Thank God that did not happen. I just started here 4 months ago. That would not have been good if I broke the expensive color printer. Hopefully they will transfer as the picture is on the paper?? Hopefully, someone else has made this mistake before and will tell me how it turned out before I try it on a shirt tonight.
