Help - Beanbag mess!

Last night I needed to wash the cover of my son's beanbag (it came from either Lillian Vernon or Company Kids...can't remember which). Anyway, the beanbag inside was a MESS!! White stuff was everywhere...I needed to vacuum! Should I just put it back into the now-clean cover? Or, should I replace? It almost looks like it's disintegrating somehow...just white everywhere!

Thanks!

Was it loose when you took the cover off? Or is it somehow contained? I'm thinking if it's contained you should be okay.

And thanks for the laugh, I have the mental picture of little white styrofome pellets creating snow in a living room. :lmao:

If you know of an Occupational Therapist near you, they may want it.
I work with people who have disabilities. The OT's are always making tactile items from bean bag pellets.

If you can reuse it I would. I made DD10 a beanbag a few years back and the beans cost a lot, even with using a coupon at Joanne's I wanted to replenish them a few months back but I can no longer find the beans. My Joannes only his micro beads.

When I filled her bag I did it in my bathtub since those pesky little pellets would go everywhere and were full of static-they stuck to everything ( I found Staticguard helped with this)

UPDATE: It's definitely from Lillian Vernon...purchased in 2005...and maybe I am not describing the problem correctly (but am glad I am making someone laugh...I wasn't!!! ;) It's one solid piece (not little beans) so I guess the covering over the beans is what's falling apart...I guess the insert has it's own "cover" so to speak. Now, out of curiousity, I checked my daughter's...purchased in 2007 from Company Kids...hers is beautiful inside...a nice cotton inner cover! I am thinking I will shove the "mess" back into my son's until it's a bit flatter...then will try to reorder a refill from Company Kids...they are basically the same size bean bag cover from what I can tell.

We had the same thing happen a year ago and we replaced what was gone with packing peanuts! So far, they've worked great and we were able to make it a much fuller beanbag. :cool1:
