We're going on a last minute MK trip on our way back from the beach and I need some help. We've never gone in such crowds before... or in July. We're getting there before 8am when they open, and will have to stay until Spectromagic is over at 10:30pm. So how do I get through it? We've always taken breaks with the kiddos... especially the little ones.

Any suggestions on places I can go to give my 1 1/2 yr old some rest and a break? Or any of us for that matter.

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

IMO, the monorail is one of the best places to get some quiet relaxation. You have to leave MK to get on the monorail, but once you do get on it you have the following benefits (1) it's often relatively quiet, (2) it's airconditioned, (3) it goes in circles so you don't have to go someplace and then worry about going back, and (4) the monotony of the movement and sound will often help even a cranky toddler take a nap.

There's also a decent baby care center in MK which is often, but not always, a calm and quiet spot. It's been a while since I had babies, but someone here might be able to help you out with information on the amenities offered at the Baby Care Center.

We've never gone commando-style with our kids. Good Luck!

Thanks! Our initial thought was to go back for a mid-day nap/swim, but I'm now reading in the threads that we probably won't get back into the park as it will be up to capacity... so that leaves us still with just staying in the park. I'll try the baby care center though in the afternoon while the older kids do other things.

Thanks!

In the past I've heard other people recommend riding the TTA in Tomorrowland to deal with the little ones. A smooth, mellow ride!

take the monorail to one of the hotels and have lunch and chill, you should get back into the parks as you are on the monorail

Nope...there is NO guarantee of getting into a park just because you are on the monorail. Once you leave a park you're out...and it makes no difference if you were in that park earlier in the day. If the park is closed...its closed.

The 4th of July is perhaps the busiest day of the year at the MK. If the park closes and you are not inside the gates, you cannot get back in.

if you can get out to the monorail, ride it to epcot and back; a couple of times if the little one is asleep.

Oh Goodness! I hadn't even linked the fact that you are going to be at MK tomorrow and that tomorrow is the 4th of July.

I think your best bet is going to be the Baby Care Center, although I wouldn't expect that to be quiet at all tomorrow.

Good Luck!

i would suggest the baby care center or perhaps riding the TTA or sitting through the CoP or Philharmagic a few times, if possible. i would imagine the park will close at capacity at some point tomorrow and if you leave, you likely won't get back in. my own personal favorite napping spots are the country bear jamboree and the hall of presidents.

I have heard Tom Sawyer's Island makes a nice break, but I haven't managed to try it yet.

I wouldn't leave. No one at the turnstiles knows (or cares) that you were on the monorail. I think it will be practically impossible to get back in on 7/4.

Historically, the 4th of July reaches capacity levels. If they leave the parks at lunchtime on the 4th of July, they probably won't get back into the park.
