Help! Arrival time for Fri's rock your disney side

Hi! My friends just got to Disneyland today. They had already planned this trip when the rock your Disney side was announced. They are not interested in getting any merchandise or incentives when the park opens friday but wants to make the most of their day before the crowds come.

What is the best time for them to get there? Will it be too crazy to try to get into the gate at 6 AM? Should they wait till 7 AM? From the other thread it sounded like it may not get extremely crowded until around 5 PM. Is that true?

There's no way to know. The leap day event was awful, and that probably scared a lot of people away from the next one. Maybe the word got out that the second one wasn't as crowded and now more people will show up. Maybe not. They could go at 6am and if it looks to crowded, find something else to do for an hour and then go back. I'd probably just get in the line. What's the worst that can happen, it takes a half hour to get in, but the end result is they get in early? If they show up at 6am and the line is an hour long, it's not going to be a cake walk at 7am either.
