Just returned from a stay at AKV and really love the resort! I currently own 500 points at BWV, split between multiple contracts. My BWV points were purchased at $64 and $84 pp. I'm trying to decide if I should sell some of my BWV points and buy at AKV. I have enough points for 4 weeks a year in a studio. I would like to stay at AKV for 1 week a year.

Is it worth it to sell my cheaper BWV point and buy AKV points, or should I just try to get in at the 7 month window? I usually travel in early March, mid May, late Oct/early Nov, and early Dec.

Opinions greatly appreciated

I don't think I would do that unless I had my heart set on a getting concierge at AKL. The AKL is going to be pretty large and I am betting on getting it pretty easy for most times at the 7 month window. JMHO. YMMV.

If the DVC stays as popular in the future as it has been the last couple of years, I would buy AKV. Now is not the time to sell. Prices are low and they may go lower.

Unless you want concierge, standard view, or value rooms, I would just keep what I have. The only way to probably book those rooms wll be at the 11 month window. Once Kidani is finished, AKV will almost be as large of a resort as OKW. You shouldn't have any problem booking savanna view rooms within the 7 month window at that point.
