Oh god please let someone out there help me. Here is the story, I got my Dad a digital frame for his birthday and I was putting photos on it from my computer. About halfway through I realized I was moving the photos instead of copying them and by this point I had already deleted a bunch of photos from the frame's folder to be able to put different photos in folder. I looked in the recycle bin for the photos but they are not there. Where are they??? They have to be somewhere on the computer right? HELP!!!!!!!

Check in your in your recycle bin. I hope this helps! OOPS I just didn't see that you mentioned the recyle bin, sorry. I have a picture program that even though I delete pictures they somehow end up in the gallery. Maybe there is one in your picture program??? Also do a search...if you named the photo, maybe you will find it that way. I hope?! I'll ask my husband...maybe he knows.

Do not touch anything!! Call a tech guy. It will be worth the price, and he should be able to recover them.

Do not add or delete any more from the card either because they may have to recover them from that and they can't if you have saved something "over" the deleted file.

Hope that makes sense!!

I am sick over this!!! I didn't delete from a card, I deleted them from the frame's file (is this the actual frame?) on the computer. The computer asked me am I sure I want to delete these files and I said yes. I have a feeling that I deleted them from the frame which means they are gone. I have them up on shutterfly and I have most of them on cd so I guess all is not lost, but still I am very sad.

You can pull them back form Shutterfly, can't you? Or order hard prints, of course.

I've used this software at work many times with decent results - download the free version, scan for deleted files, and if it finds the pictures then you pay to purchase it ($60) and it will recover them. If it can't find anything, you don't have to pay anything.

Worth the free try and then you can decide if you want to put out the $60. It's a bit pricey, but a lot less than true forensic software and I personally have had about 85% success with it. Or you can pay to have a technician look at it, but I guarantee you that most of them (me included) would use similar software and then charge you quite a bit for labor on top of it.

Keep in mind that the more you use your PC after deleting files, the greater the chance of them being overwritten so until you decide what to do, don't use the PC unless necessary.

Often things are not actually "gone". Do you know a good computer guy? If my husband was here I'd ask him (he is a major IT geek!) I have thought things were gone and he recovered them. Once I even deleted my memory card for my camera thinking it was the one I had downloaded and I was wrong. He got them all back. If you don't find them by the time he gets home I will ask him. I wouldn't panic yet...

DH says to search online for free file recovery software and that works well, he's used it before. Hope this helps...

I actually did this with a HUGE batch of DISNEY pix, I FEEL YOUR PAIN.
I was not lucky enough to get them back at all. I literally CRIED over it. :sad2:

BEST OF LUCK, atleast you have Shutterfly as the back up.
Now I PRINT EVERYTHING!!

I AGREE!!! On my birthday(of all days), I was fiddling around with my computer. I had some major problems with it and long story short, my pics just VANISHED!!!! I called this computer place not far from here and they said bring it in ASAP. I was in tears because all my son's pictures from the age of 2 to 4 were lost. I didn't care about the any of the rest just those. Priceless memories ya know?
Anyhow, The computer guy said that the program i used to open my pictures got corrupt and that he managed to dig them out of some dark hidden place on the hard drive! It was well worth the $80 I paid for him to find them!!!
