Hi guys. I need your advise. A friend of mine is taking her family to Disneyland next month. She wants a hotel in the $150.00 - $200.00 range, preferably with a breakfast buffet. They don't mind taking the shuttle to the park. I always stay at Park Vue Inn so I'm not able to offer her any advice. I was thinking of maybe Embassy Suites down the road. Any other ideas I can throw her way? Thanks!!!

I just stayed at the Ayres Anaheim Hotel on Katella this past weekend for less than $100 per night through hotels.com and absolutely LOVED IT!!!! The rooms were really spacious and the breakfast was awesome and included pastries, cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage (depending on the day) and hashbrowns!! You can even take the ART from there. I would totally stay there again :cool1:

hilton anaheim SUITES has a nice buffet breakfast( not the regular hilton anaheim)
Hampton inn and suites has a nice breakfast with some hot items and the beds are sooo comfy!

The Howard Johnson Hotel is a very popular property to stay. With the entertainment rate that comes with the card, if her dates are or will become available, then not only will money be saved, but you are not terribly far from Dl either.

And because you need even MORE names I'll throw in a recommendation for Embassy Suites. Free parking, all rooms have a pull out couch in their "living room" and the breakfast buffet isn't just muffins and one hot dish... there's multiple stations and loads of dishes. The one downside of Priceline is that I no longer end up there. :(

But the HoJo doesn't do breakfast. The CCI does a nice breakfast, was $130 a night and has a free hotel shuttle and really is close enough to walk.

I was also going to suggest CCI. It's been a long time since I stayed there but from what I've read, it sounds like it's just as good as I remember it.

The Ramada is pretty good, i cant remember exactly what we paid, but if it was my family it was defiantly under 200 a night.

We just stayed at the Embassy Suites this weekend. Great hot breakfasts, big rooms with a fridge and microwave, seperate living area, ART takes you directly to the front entrance. Two thumbs up!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Definitely two thumbs up for Embassy Suites!! Great place to stay.

I also recommend the CCI for the above reason. :thumbsup2

Important to note that all "free shuttles" are not equal.

CCI's "free shuttle" is a CCI ONLY shuttle that takes 4 min. to get to the park & 2 min. to return. They run twice an hour (on the minute).

I believe that most (if not all) of the other "shuttles" are the ART busses which has mixed reviews.

& personally I walked to the park each morning to ensure arriving at the security table 30+ min. prior to opening (or MM opening). But the shuttle was great for mid day breaks & for coming back from the parks (but not after the fireworks).

I can recommend the Embassy Suites South it was awesome. I even took bagels and jam and apples for lunch ;).

Thank you much everyone. I'll throw out all your suggestions to my friend and let her pick! I knew you guys would come through will lots of good advice!:thumbsup2

I love Hilton Inn and Suites in Orange - right by the Pond (I don't think it's called this anymore :confused3 ) and Angel's Stadium. We stayed there on our first trip to DLR and it was great! Nice bedding (down comforters), big rooms, hot breakfast and free parking. Only downside - have to drive or take ART to the Park.

Okay, just looked it up - it's called the Honda Center now. Used to be Arrowhead Pond! ;)
