I need help getting some birthday presents for some coworkers...

The first one is a lady turning 57 she is into nothing. All she really does truthfully is drink a lot of coffee.

the second lady is turning 48. She is into music, clothes and anything fashion.

the third is turning 23 she is into everything haha !!!!

I would like to avoid giftcards !!!

how much are you looking to spend? Maybe give them something for their desk like a bamboo plant.

i was thinking about 20 dollars each

How about taking them out to lunch? A small plant for on the desk? Scented candles? Box of candy.... For the coffee lady a nice insulated travel mug.

Honestly, I'm kind of at a loss for suggestions because I wouldn't spend $20 on a co-workers birthday gift, its just not in my budget, and even if it were, I wouldn't think to do it.

23 yo SHARE their lives with their co workers, 57 yo have other things to do, it's not that she's into NOTHING, it's just that she probably keeps it to herself.

Baked goods, a card and a happy birthday will suffice. How long have you worked there, is there a protocol for birthdays in the office?

If you are thinking of spending about $20 a piece, then I would have to guess that you are pretty close to these co-workers.

I would think a little outside the box. I have a few co-workers of mine that I am fairly close with, and since I try to personalize my gifts a little baskets work wonders because you can get inexpensive items and put them together to make them look more extravagant.

Maybe a basket of coffee items for the one who likes coffee...I would do something small, but maybe put in a favorite flavored coffee, a mug, and some either flavored syrup or chocolate covered spoons that she could use to stir the coffee and flavor it at the same time?

For the one who likes everything...maybe some bath & body works essentials...get some mini lotions and sprays and put them together in a small basket. Those usually come in at like buy 2 get one free or something depending on the sales.

For the one who is fashionable...maybe a broach or scarf. I would look for sale items at any boutiques in the mall...Claire's, etc. and look for maybe a scarf and broach set. I have a co-worker/supervisor who is around that age who loves things like that. Or maybe a purse holder or key finder ring? The Purse holder hooks to the back of the chair or on the table so you don't have your purse on the floor, and the key finder ring hooks on the lip of the purse so your not digging through to find your keys at the bottom of your bag. Something practical yet classy.

Hope those ideas help!

Hi!! we've done co-worker gift exchanges & it is fun but hard!! The first woman I'd get a nice mug & maybe a pack of a gourmet coffee from a local coffee shop.
Second lady: a nice scarf, or gloves.
Third woman : some nice lotion/ pampering products, my DD (20's also) likes Victoria's Secret products.

Good generic gifts: picture frames, theme baskets like a basket with things for a home manicure, a popcorn bucket loaded with things for a movie night in, like microwave popcorn, a bottle of pop, snacks, gourmet popcorn seasonings, etc; scented candles or tart warmers; small outdoor decorations for their garden or front doors.

Have fun shopping!!
