Heloooooo Secret Porthole 5520 !!!

Taking all of your advice, we looked into, and booked out first cruise (9/8/05 Wonder 3 day). And best of all, since we booked early enough, we were able to get a secret porthole!!!
The way we figure it, we've already gotten a 100% upgrade over the category 10 price we're playing. although the coveted 5020 was already booked (beating us at 14 months in advance), we still got our second choice.
Now its time to hunt the boards for all the info on 5520 we can get.

Hello hAm53....My son and I have 5520 on our land/sea package scheduled for June5th and sailing on June 12-16, 2005. We are so excited!!! i booked my sph room in Jan 04.....18 months out!!!
Would love to see some pics of that room---seen some of 5020 the other day and it made me more excited than ever!!!!!

Hi: My DH and I will be in 5520 on the Magic the week of 9/18/04. We chose that stateroom when we booked the cruise on the Wonder in July, 2003. Many DISers have stayed in 5520 and all give it a thumbs up. Jan

I know exactly how you feel. We were able to book 5022 and 5024 for the 10/23/05 4 day Wonder. I'm sure you're just as
happy as we were. Feels like you accomplished something great doesn't it?!!!!!

If we do our Eastern we'll be looking to book 5022 and 5024, or at least 5022 and 5024. That way we pay cat. 10 prices (which are high enough!) but still get that natural light.

I have booked sph 5520 for the 10/30/04 Halloween Cruise (Eastern) and can hardly wait. Was happy to get such a great price and still have a porthole! Can't wait to hear what others have to say about it.

Congrats on the great room! We had 5022 and 5024 booked for our Feb 05 cruise and then we had to move in to Jan 05 and those rooms were taken on that cruise - I could have cried! Oh well anything but being in Canada at the end of January is just fine with me!

We have 5520 booked for 9/18/05 4 day Wonder cruise! I saw the pics of 5020 as well. We had the option of either room, but we started out with 5520 and have decided to stay put. I've heard that on most cruises the captain backs in to castaway cay, and therefore 5520 has a better view of the island. Of course, no guarantees he'll back in, but I figured they were basically both the same room, so why change?

I'd love to see pics of 5520 if anyone has any!
