The TEAMS!!!

As previously reported by Reality TV Magazine, Chef Gordon Ramsay will be returning to the kitchen for a fifth season of Hell’s Kitchen. Today, FOX announced the names and hometowns of the sixteen aspiring chefs who will be competing to win the grand prize of a “Head Chef” position at the East Coast’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

As usual, the sixteen aspiring chefs will be divided into two teams, a red team and a blue team. While the chefs have varying degrees of culinary experience, they are all very passionate about food.

The eight aspiring chefs on the red team are Andrea, 30, a line cook from Reading, PA; Carol, 30, a sous chef from Knoxville, TN; Coi, 22, a café cook from Austin, TX; Colleen, 41, a cooking school instructor from Papillion, NE; Ji, 33, a private caterer from Palisades Park, NJ; LA, 23, a line cook from Las Vegas, NV; Lacey, 24, a corporate buffet cook from Charlotte, NC; and Paula, 28, an executive sous chef from Coconut Creek, FL.

The eight aspiring chefs on the blue team are Ben, 26, an executive sous chef from Chicago, IL; Charlie, 24, a prep chef from Las Vegas, NV; Danny, 23, an executive chef from Edgewater, FL; Giovanni, 37, an executive chef from Destin, FL; J, 32, a food court chef from Clifton Park, NY; Robert, 29, a sous chef from Quogue, NY; Seth, 27, a private party chef from New York, NY; and Wil, 27, a quality-control chef from Elgin, IL.

On the season premiere of Hell’s Kitchen, Chef Ramsay will have the sixteen aspiring chefs prepare their signature dishes. Usually, signature dishes from aspiring chefs meet with harsh criticism from Gordon Ramsay, but this time Gordon Ramsay is pleasantly surprised. The fifth season of Hell’s Kitchen premieres on Thursday, January 29 from 9 PM to 10 PM ET/PT on FOX.

That Lacey girl is not going to make it very far.....she is a whiner too.

And the cooking school teacher, seems to get into a lot of trouble. I am sure after watching her on this her business is going to go down unless she improves.

I am sure most of this stuff has to be first time nervous but to not know how to cook spaghetti.

Thought it was funny they wanted to send the waiter home...he didn't even cook anything and that is why he is there.

Don't know if this is a spoiler thread so I won't say who left just yet.

OMG, DH and I were cracking up at Lacey most of the evening. That girl is downright delusional!

I really wanted to like Colleen, but she was being so stupid! First saying that thing about manners to Gordon and then trying to cook in a dirty pan? She better get her act together.

I wasn't thrilled that Wil went home before Seth, but the way Gordon probably looked at it was that neither one of them had a chance to make it to the end, but Seth would probably cause some controversy by staying.
