Hell's Kitchen Finale last night

They were both very good. Either one was a good choice. Sorry they both could not have won. They deserved it. I am sure even "the loser" will be snatched up quickly by someone!

Yes you did. :lmao:

Dave won, he was the favourite all season. He cooked the whole time with a broken wrist. He broke it doing one of Ramesy's punishments, he was cleaning a fire truck and got his arm stuck in something.

I really wanted himt win. :goodvibes

The season seemed short to me too and the finale they didn't have to design the restruarnt just do there own menu.

My guess is that they got rid of the "design the restaurant" to fit the finale into a 2 hr spot this week. Baseball playoffs will begin airing on FOX soon and they had to finish up the show before they start.

I wanted Kevin to win. For some reason Dave rubbed me the wrong way - maybe it was his montone voice about everything. I do give him credit for doing as well as he did with a broken wrist.

Me too, I feel Kevin could handle the Chef of a resteraunt better than Dave...was Tennile at last nights finale? I didn't see her...what a Loud Mouth Arrogant Witch she was...:headache::mad:

Dave talked like a stoner. that lazy whiny voice was like nails on a chalkboard to me. Can he cook - yes. Should he have won, I don't think so. I didn't think his final menu was anything special, I can get similar stuff at any nice restaurant. He didn't present himself as someone who could be in charge, he showed no polish or real class.

we noticed Tenille was not there - and didn't miss her a bit :)

I wanted Dave to win too. The pain he was in looked incredible at times. His determination pushed him through. I did like Kevin as well. I don't think I ever liked both finalist as much as I did this season.

While I believe Dave can cook, I didn't find the professionalism necessary to run a high volume restaurant.

Kevin, on the other hand, had both.

I am so glad Dave won, I was rooting for him!!! His voice reminded me of Lowell from the show Wings.

I think chef Ramsey recognized Dave's raw talent. Also, Ramsey likes simple cooking. If you watch his show, "Kitchen Nightmares" it is a theme he drives home: simple, rustic cooking.

Plus Kevin was arrogant. He tried to sabatoge Ariel when she was at the pass.

I'm glad Dave won!

I'm getting to the point where he picks guys, that have no attachments, wife kids etc.,
I think being a chef is hard on a family. Your work hours are nites and weekends. I was really rooting for Kevin. Me and my dh almost thought it was a "here have a job, for getting hurt." We thought Kevin would do a better job running the kitchen. Plus, the job is up in Canada.

I think David's "simple" menus were a bonus for working up in a snow resort.. I don't see how Kevin's cape code themed menus would go over well there.

I am a foodie (hotel GM) and just hooked on this show. too be honest, none of those folks would run my kitchen. Their inability to cook to a temp would have me going nuts.. That is some basic abilities that none of them seemed to master.

That said, I think all three at the end were pretty solid and I did enjoy the season.

In the end though, Chef Ramsey is the final call, so no matter what we think he wins :happytv:

I had a feeling that Dave would win after the international cooking thing. I believed him when he said he knew nothing about cooking Indian food and yet he won. I couldn't believe that Kevin forgot his sauce. Either one would have been fine with me though.

As for attachments, didn't Dave have a wife?

I expected Dave to win as soon as they announced their menus. Chef Ramsey's food is simple and elegant so I expected him to prefer Dave's menu.

Dave is engaged; not married.

We were saying the exact same things-if you wanted someone to represent you in a high end restaurant, Dave is not it-but he can cook. I can't stand his voice either.

OMG!! I said the same thing word for word last night....
