hello! I just wanted to introduce myself here, I am currently enrolled at my local tech school and hoping to go to to Disney in the collage program next year and just wanted to say hi first and see if I can find ifo and such. so I will try to start out... umm... my name is Jess, I am a hobby costumer and custom clothier, I work as a sushi chef in my parents restaurant, been doing sushi for 7-8 years now, I am 20, and goign to school to be a linguist, I also am a horrible typist so sorry about that. ;p lol! umm I love Disney, and my dream is to work there as my "real" job. umm well if anyone wants to know more then I will be happy to tell, I have never really done any intros before so...

My name is Tyler...I am going to school to be a professional stage manager....and i to had a dream to work at disney world....and it came true in february! i was accpeted into the Disney college program Fall Advantage i will be there may 19th through jan 2nd 2009 i will be in the costuming dept! i am excited! you should book mark my blog....(link below) b/c when i arrive i will be blogging at least everyday! about my costuming journey! Welcome to the boards! I'm Aubrey, I'm 20 (I'll be 21 when I hopefully go to Disney for the Fall program) Good luck on your application process, and if you have any questions this is definitely the place to ask. I've gotten all the answers I've needed off of these boards.

Welcome!! I hopefully will be doing FA 2009 (that would be my 5th CP). Maybe I will see you down there.

Sure! The application is pretty basic. It's easy to fill out.

The interview is also pretty easy. They ask questions ranging from personal questions (why do you want to do the CP?) to questions about the roles you picked.

thanks guys! I am now reading through the CP question thread! (sheesh! tons of stuff there! lol!) and I have a question.. what sort of jobs are avalible for CP's? I really would love to be a cheracter or preformer (cant do anythign but.. lol!) but (and this is a biggie) I cannot tolerate heat, as in I pass out and I cannot be in the sun (SPF80 anyone? ;p) do they take that into consideration? and also are utilities included in rent? also what is the best time to CP? and also are tehre roles you can only apply for if you have done this before? and times of year where you can only apply to do a specific thing (like I saw something about the summer and fall being only quick service food and custodial) or is it all roles up for anyone at all times? thank you!

There are a lot of roles available (the entire list can be found at www.wdwcollegeprogram.com).

Yes. They would take that into consideration. They would put you in a role that is just indoors (merch, foods, something like that). Summer is currently just for Alumni (people who have done the CP before). The only roles were custodial, QSFB, and lifeguard.
