This is a little exercise we perform at the agency. It’s fun to hear what people would do.

Setting: Congrats! You have just been put in charge of WDW Park Operations! You now have a brand new office :surfweb: with a view of the MK (nice). You even live on Disney property so your commute to the office is always a pleasant one. However, Mr. CEO  has given you an assignment that must be completed immediately. Follow me to conference room where all the other employees :grouphug: are located.

Your Task: WDW is changing. Each day there are ideas regarding new attractions that our imagineers pixiedust: would like to see happen. However, in order to accommodate these new state-of-the-art attractions, we must do away with TWO (attractions),that currently exist. In addition, you will have money left over to refurbish ONE attraction. (Make it new again!). So the question is…what TWO attractions do we demolish in order to make way for a new one? And what will the new attraction be (Just state the category of the ride ie. Thrill ride, educational, family ride…etc etc )? And what attraction do we invest money back into, in order to give it that NEW feel again? Lead the way boss!! :groom:

Example: I would get rid of Tomorrowlands Indy Speed Way and Small World. Replacing them would be THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW Haunted Roller Coaster :scared1:
I would then give Space Mountain an OUT OF THIS WORLD make over. (No pun intended...well...maybe a little).

This should be fun. Lets hear'em!!! Besides, Walt Disney was all about make believe correct? :goodvibes

ooooh...this could be fun.

I would get rid of Stitch's great escape (or is it mistake) and the Swiss Family Robinson Tree house.

I would add a new new coaster with a villian theme and I would update space mtn.

and shame on the OP for getting rid of It's a small world.:sad2:

Swiss Family Tree House and Stitch's Great Escape would be gone, in their place a water ride like 20,000 lengues under the sea

I would update Indy Speedway, new cars, new track , make it less bumpy and painful (DS loves that ride, but boy does it beat the heck out of me.) I can't wait tilll he can ride it alone.

oooh I'm in.

I would get rid of Snow White's Scary ride and I that terrible Stitch thing!

I would put money into updating the Jungle Cruise and I think some sort of interactive Incrediables ride would be cool.

this sounds fun.

the stitch ride was the worst. i would get rid of that and its a small world ride. and update space mountain as others have said and the new ride i would make would be a super heros ride. buzz, woody, pirates, the increidables like your mission is to save magic kingdom but with disney characters. :thumbsup2

sorry i know my spelling is bad.

Bye bye to Stitch and (sorry) Aladdin's magic carpets...

I would update Indy Speedway - there must be a way to rig those cars so that we (and the poor CM's) are not choking on fumes and you can actually STEER them. However, it's one of my son's favorites, so I would update it rather than scrap it.

I would also turn Tom Sawyer's Island into some fun interactive shipwrecky version of Tortuga or Isla de Muerta.

and sorry OP - it's against Disney Law to mess with Small World.

I'm in. I'd get rid of It's a Small World and Snow White's Scary Adventures. Rehab on Space Mountain. And Build a new ride/show featureing Tarzan. I really liked the old Show at AK and was sad when it closed. And now there isn't much left to represent Tarzan.

So far everyone's pretty well covered MK, so I'll do something else...

In Epcot I would get rid of Body Wars (it's never open anyway) and HISTA to build a Russia or Australia pavilion and give SpaceShip Earth a wing ding of a makeover.

In MGM I'd get rid of Indiana Jones and the Beauty and the Beast shows to add a Chronicles of Narnia themed ride --park dark ride, part adventure ride, like POTC meets Expedition Everest (but not quite as rough or scary since Narnia is geared toward kids).

I would get rid of Swiss Family Robinson Tree house and Pooh's thoughtful Spot playground.

I would create a ride based on Monsters Inc, like a roller coaster through all those doors.

I would update Indy Speedway, perhaps giving it a Cars theme using route 66 and the city's landscape.

You should post this over at the WPASADI Board...everyone over there is twidling their thumbs waiting for an assignment like this

Get totally rid of Stitch and Indy and start building a whole new LAND....call it Villianland!! Have thrill/adventure rides based on Disney villians!!! Imagine refurbing astro orbiter to have a Nightmare Before Xmas theme? And Stitch could be some sort of virtual reality walk through ride where you fight away all kinds of disney villians (like in the book Kingdom Keepers!)...and the speedway could be a 'wicked' rollercoaster of sorts. :scared1:

I would get rid of the speedway and the treehouse. I would put in a Narnia ride. And I'd update the Jungle Cruise - my DD's love this ride.

Kill the miserable Tiki birds and stuff a sock down Stitch's throat (maybe it'll stop that chili dog smell). Pour the money into the Wonders of Life--update it with modern technology and a new film for Body Wars. This is such a waste of space. Build a thrill ride in the World Showcase--I love it the way it is, but EPCOT needs some excitement to compete.

I would update Indy Speedway - there must be a way to rig those cars so that we (and the poor CM's) are not choking on fumes and you can actually STEER them. However, it's one of my son's favorites, so I would update it rather than scrap it.

Well as we speak the Speedway is being refurbished to have more cars going at a time, and there are plans that they will be getting brand new cars next year sometime that will be all electric. As for the fumes, believe me I worked there for the last 6 months before switching roles, we really don't notice them at all until a guest says something. You get used to it. And as for steering our cars, it is quite possible to steer them. You just have to make a alot big of adjustments, opposed to our normal cars.

Jungle Cruise and the Speedway would be gone yesterday. Can I put in a hotel?

alsotoo, Disney should buy the Lord of the Rings and add a thrill ride based on that.

Weird. I just wrote out an entire preshow idea I had for a Harry Potter attraction in my LiveJournal. It came to me all of a sudden.
