I was just telling DH as the awards were given what a freaky movie that was! Like a horror movie!!!!! I totally didn't expect it to be that gory. And I'm not a gory person

Glad you love him!! I'm having a hard time looking at my Duffy right now. Laurie wants me to bring him with me next weekend though, otherwise I might have left him at home.

Tania, I'm Laurie & I'm leaving Thursday morning for DL.....how long were you there?? I totally relate on walking down Main Street before leaving the park & feeling sad & getting misty eyed........so meloncholy when we leave.

Hi Laurie! Nice to meet ya. Just a short, kind of extended weekend trip. It was kind of spur of the moment, I was scared of the weather after we endured the storm of December !!! It was a last minute decision to even go, I was about to cancel my HOJO ressie. We live in the bay area and have APs so short trips are do-able. DD7 and I are the true Disney-philes of the family. Both of us get super sad the last day while the rest are ready to go pack and go home

That December storm was crazy....have a friend that was there that week.....torrential downpour the entire trip for them.....yikes!

I saw that there was supposed to be thunderstorms this weekend down there.....how was the weather?? I heard southern cali saw snow???

It was totally fine! It rained a bit, on Friday and just a tad on Saturday. But it felt like nothing compared to December. That trip, it rained everyday, all day, HEAVY rain. No entertainment, no fireworks, booo!!!

For the last few days, They were making a big deal of it on the news, weather forecasts, etc. but it was nothing. We had nice clear weather on both the drive there and back so it was all good

And oh - snow - there was snow at the higher elevations (which is normal basically).

I ended up kind of taking Michele's advice and not stressing about the weather

Inception is doing quite well. I think Alice should have won visual effects, but I'm a bit biased.

I'm glad the weather wasn't bad this time.....you must have been at DL the same time my friend was.....they were so disappointed with everything being canceled.

It's hard NOT to stress about the weather.....or at least that's how it is for me........I look forward to warmer weather & no rain since I live in the very WET Willamette Valley in Oregon. I don't want to go on vacation & deal with rain......lol So far we've been lucky.......no rain on any of our trips (knocking on wood as I type this) .....lol Everyone says, oh the rain is great, the crowds are small & you can walk onto rides. Well to me walking around in wet pants, sweatshirts, & shoes doesn't sound fun.....sitting on ride seats & getting my back end soaked really sounds awful. Small crowds would be great but not if I have to be miserable to have them!!

Yes, it was SO disappointing! I feel the same way you do - the smaller crowds did mean short lines - I mean, we were able to (on the weekend before Christmas!!!) walk on all major rides *in the evening* without Fast Passes. But - it was WET WET WET and kinda miserable even with raingear. And I missed all the entertainment and atmosphere Lots and lots of for your trip!!!!!

As much as I love Tim Burton and loved AIW, if Inception lost out on that I would have been upset. That movie was freaking amazing visually and the things they did technically ... Yeah. I'm still mad that Nolan didn't get a best Director nomination.
