Hello, Hello, Hello!

I know the feeling. I just got done telling Tessa today that I am tired of her attitude and her thinking Saturday is her day to do what she wants. I need time to myself to do what I want, and I don't need her constant complaining.

Sometimes I wonder how it is that we will survive our kids teenage years.

Michele, sometimes I feel like my family could not function without me. They are so needy of me. They will actually not eat dinner if i am not home to cook for them. I love them, and enjoy doing things for them, i just sometimes need time for myself. And its so rare i get it sometimes.

 That totally sucks. Tomorrow I am not going to be home and neither will the girls so I will guarantee that Scotty, Loren and my mom eat sandwiches at best. I will also bet that my mom will say to me before I leave "what are we eating for dinner", and this will be after she watches the girls and I pack sandwiches for ourselves. I have a bonus teenager. This is why I really needed this trip I just took.

i think it is great that you took that trip. My Mother is living in a Nursing Home, and she thought for awhile that she should have visits everyday. It's just not possible. Do you like having your Mom with you? My Mother did so much for me before Alzheimers took over her mind. I feel so obligated to visit her everyday, and it just is to much. Sometimes I think I need to make everybody happy, and it can't be done.

I do and I don't like having my mom here. She used to be a great help when the kids were older but in so many ways she has become a different person. She is terribly controlling, and it drives me over the edge. When my mom was in the hospital I was there at least twice a day and she was in Sacramento. I was back and forth so much it exhausted me. I took care of her when she came home so she still expected it after she had recovered from her illness. Even after I came home from my long hospital stay and had a walker she expected the same treatment then. She in so many ways acts as though she doesn't forgive for having been ill. I can't explain it. I understand your guilt I would have it too. You need to be able to take time for yourself. I learned it the hard way. It took being as ill as I was and having a stroke to realize that you have to take time to yourself.

At some point we need to realize we are only human and can only do so much. My Mother is a sweetheart and really does understand about me having a family and having other obligations. I think it is the guilt I carry around. I don't know what the answer is Michele, I think we just need to live life day by day and try and do the best we can. You know the saying, "God will not give you more than you can handle".

Those are words to live by for sure.

Latest word from Disneyland is they were loading onto BTRR.

Good evening!

We went prom dress shopping today. I went in a store near me called Proms to beaches that I found in a magazine.....UHM YEAH! The cheapest dress......

$400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1::scared1:
I looked at all the tags at least twice. I thought my glasses were fogging up!
There was an automatic $15 try on fee for nine dresses. It was ridiculous. Of all the girls I saw in that store not ONE left with a dress.
This is prom....not my wedding.

So then we went to two different wedding stores and the first one I found nothing but a bunch of bridezillas. :snooty:
The second store I found a poofy pink dress(I promised bf no pink though) since I made him wear pink last year, even though he doesnt care, but it was half ruffled and half strait, strapless with diamonds all around the top. Then the lady said since my BF is 6'3" and i'm 5'2" I have to lady gaga up my shoes so she gave me platform heels. The dress looked amazing and I fell in love but I want to keep looking. Macy's had a wopping 5 dresses. So the search continues!

Row, have you looked at JC Penney? Sometimes they might surprise you, good luck.

Chrissie, you are right about that.

Hey y'all, not feeling too chatty.

DH's union is in negotiations for a 10% pay and benefits cut, I'm trying to stay positive but it's hard. The worst part is the healthcare, knock on wood we're all fairly healthy right now, but when you look at the numbers they want for co-pays, it would add up so fast if someone got really sick. It gets me all steamed up about the state of healthcare in this country. It's a freaking mess, when will they realize that no one stays with the same company and gets a retirement package where healthcare is paid for??? That model is so broken it's not even funny.

I would also suggest Macy's. They have some really pretty dresses and while Macy's regular prices are  sometimes they have awesome sales. I've gotten really nice stuff dirt cheap from Macy's.

Tania I am sick over the different unions like the firefighters taking cuts. They should not be forced to take these pay cuts. If they are going to cut the pay of public employees it should be the officials that hold elected office, and not the ones who put their lives on the line.

I did look at Macys and JCPenney. Jc- had a few dresses the same as Davids bridal. Macys had four long dresses and they were strait. I want a cinderella type of dress. Heres the one I loved yesterday!

That isn't a bad price for a dress and it's cute. Good luck on the dress hunt.

I am off soon to take my girls to a concert in Sacramento. It looks as though I will be alone because I think Loren may have pinkeye. I am not excited at all. I think that I will be spending hours in Barnes and Noble. Isn't it ironic that I can go to Disneyland and spend time by myself but I am uncomfortable about going to Sacramento and spending time alone.

I would be the same way I am sure. Hopefully you can keep occupied for 3 hours. I can spend a lot of time in a book store, but I don't know about 3 hours. Have you seen Tangled yet? You could go to that movie. So cute! Hope your back is at least a little better.

I got a text from Jazz today. She was almost able to trade for a Stitch Vinylmation for me, but by the time she got back to the park with the one she was going to trade with, he was gone. Oh well, I am very thankful she was going to try for me. :goodvibes

My back still sucks and I thought about a movie we have done that in the past but there is absolutely nothing I want to see at the theater that is near where they are going to the concert. I try to stay in a familiar area. If Tangled was playing that is so what I would do. Loren has decided to go with me. And you know the wonderful thing with the Nook is I can read books in the store for free on it.

Too bad she wasn't able to get Stitch. Maybe she will luck out and find him again before she leaves.

I got a text from Jessica and she agreed to go on TOT!!!!!:rotfl:

:rotfl:I KNEW it! I knew she would end up on ToT sooner or later.:rotfl2: I said it somewhere to her - maybe it was in her TR after she got on Space Mountain? I can't recall. In any case, I knew she would eventually go on it. And I bet she enjoyed ToT too! I think that sometimes people 'think' they won't like certain things, but when they are feeling comfortable with the group they're with, and with some gentle coaxing, they get on the ride in question!

See, with me, I know for sure the rides I won't like (I'm old, so I've learned by now!), so you would never be able to coax me on ToT. It's just not my type of thing. But I'm so glad for Jazz that she is breaking out of that comfort zone! Heck, she just went on Soarin' for the first time, I think, in September!! She is breaking out with guns blazing!:rotfl:
