Hi everyone! My family and I will be heading to Disney and staying at POR from September 18th - 25th and will be attending MNSSHP while were there 
This will my husbands and boys first trip and my 5th, though I havent been in 10 years. My sweet little men are Caden, age 3 (and a huge Mickey fan!) and Parker, 5 months (8 at the time of travel).
I am beyond excited about this trip and not sure how Im going to make it another 3 months! I still cant believe Im actually taking my boys. We had hoped to do a family vacation this year as we went on a cruise when Caden was 10mo and it was so, so easy to travel with a baby that age. However in March Caden got sick and needed surgery for intussusception of his small bowel due to something called a Meckels diverticulum. Long story short we were released, readmitted, released, and then readmitted and Caden needed a 2nd surgery to have part of his small bowel removed. Thankfully Im so very happy to say he is doing just fine now. But at that time we decided to cancel any idea of taking a trip due to the mounting pile of medical bills.
Then, in May, things fell into place and we decided to go ahead and book our trip!! And I couldnt be happier. I figure after all he has been through, we have been through, a trip to Disney is in order. Tomorrow isnt promised - My boys and family are happy and healthy today so were going
Were also traveling in conjunction with my brother and his family, though staying and different resorts, heading down separately, etc. but I think it will be sweet for the cousins to get to meet Mickey together (I have a nephew, 5 going, and a niece the same age as Parker). Well be driving from the Chicago area and while some might think its crazy, were really looking forward to the drive!
Anyway thats my novel of an intro, haha. Looking forward to getting to know my way around here, gathering tips and ideas for our trip, and hopefully making the time pass a little more quickly!
