Hello From the Dolphin and Thanks

I just wanted to take a quick minute and thank all here who encouraged me to get the ECV. I did through Walker and it is making my trip a true pleasure. I am having a great time !

My room at the Dolphin is about as far away from the elevators as you can get yet it is NOT a problem since I have the ECV to drive all the way to the room. And I did not want to give up the room on the 8th floor east with its balcony and straight on view of the lake and Epcot and Illumination!!!

I have already learned to drive on and back off the elevators and drive on and back off the Friendships. Tomorrow, I have decided to try the bus and get myself to the Magic Kingdom for the night parade and fireworks. I can not believe that I am doing this!

Because I have the ECV, I was able to see Fantasmic last night even though I had walked through two airports and did all the other things that use up my tolerance for walking and standing during traveling.

Okay this begs the question why did you walk through airports? that is what wheelchair assistance is for.
Honestly I am glad you took the advice and got the scooter, it makes all the difference. We just got back Tuesday night, I had brought my own scooter, it has a canopy and other special equipment I need, my husband rented one from Walker. the second day there we came out of Alfredos from lunch and found his had a flat tire. Called Walker and they came and replaced it with a larger scooter in 30 min. and this was inside World Showcase
the next day we got to the parking lot, he was taking out and assembling the scooters and he had left the key in his and it had broken off in the machine. Called Walker again, they told us there was a spare key in the battery compartment if we could get the old key out.
He had to tip it upside down on the tailgate and tap till it started to come out but still wouldn't all the way, he asked if I had a hairpin, well this was the first time in like ten years I was wearing hair pins to hold in a scarf. Anyway he got it out and everything was fine. I must say that Walker does offer great service.
