Well, 1st off, when it comes to Disney let me say this site has to be the best one I have found out there on the old web. :cheer2: Good job to all!

I have not been to Disney in approx 25 years (went when I was approx 8, and I remember seeing the hole in the ground where the tree of life was supposed to be built I think!), my wife has never been, and is very leary of going, because she thinks its all about the rides and gets sick super easy. (Any tips to build her excitement? I'm ready to freakin burst:jumping2: and talk about DW every day, her not so much)

My 2 daughters, age 5 and 8 also have never been, and hear me talking about it but really haven't clued in that we are going this September.

Anyhoo, we'll be at POP Century with the DDP so I think we're good to go.

Thanks for havin us!

Hiya! I'm new here too :)

Glad to hear you're so excited! I actually first went to Disney when I was 21!

She will not know how great it is until you actually go. Like you I hadn't been since I was a kid, and the first time I went back was 25 years later with my husband and 2 children. My husband had never been and didn't know what to expect , and now he is a Disney lover like me:lovestruc
We are going again this September as well :banana:soooo excited!!!

Welcome from another Winnipegger!! When in Sept are you guys going?? We are heading down August 26- September 6, and we are staying at POP! Did you guys get in on the free dining plan?? You are going to have an awesome time!!

Have you tried going to look at some of the youtube videos etc of the parks?? Looking at the videos always gets us excited about our trips!! It can be hard to explain about WDW sometimes, about the themeing etc, but once they see it, they get it!! You mentioned that your DW gets sick on some rides, has she tried looking into ginger to help with that?? My Dh also gets sick, and he tried ginger this past trip, and it prevented it, and if he forgot to take it, he would take two and within about 20 mins he would be feeling great again!

HTH's!! You have certainly come to the right place to find answers!! Happy Planning!!

:cheer2: WELCOME! :cheer2:

Yeah! Another Canadian!

BTW, you may not be able to convince your wife to love WDW until she sees it for herself. My DH was the same way until, oh, about 30 seconds after driving through the gate. Now he's more of a fan than I am, in his own way (he's all about the trivia and hidden mickeys)

Good luck in your planning!
