Hi and :welcome: to you both!

I am not into pins, but I am posting to say I was just in Apache Junction recently when visiting my parents in AZ, and we ate dinner at Filly's and had just about the best baby back ribs I've ever eaten. :thumbsup2

i was wondering if you personally ever feel weird about approaching a cast member as an adult to trade a pin? i collect pins ferociously but i have never traded one myself. i feel perhaps that they encourage children to trade more so than adults.
have you as an adult traded with a cast member? and do they treat you weird? :rolleyes2

I have traded pins before & I do not feel discouraged at all. The cast members are just as happy to trade with adults as they are with children. So have fun & enjoy:thumbsup2

Thanks! You inspired me to get even more pins..ebay baby!
ill be a pin trading maniac!

I have traded with cast memebers quite a lot. My husband bought me a lot of disney pins on ebay. I keep the ones that I like and then take the rest to the parks and trade! I trade more with cast members because they will not say no! Just a note though..Some cast members wear (green I think) a specail color lanyard that means that they only will trade with children. I don't really think that is appropriate though. They should trade with anyone I think.

Hi Skier Pete
Glad you had some good eats in AJ! We've been living here about a year & love the beautiful view of the Superstition Mtns out our front door! We have also lived in Fountain Hills AZ which has beautiful views of the Four Peaks & other mountains in the distance.:goodvibes

A dear family friend from Fort Wayne, IN (who has 100s of pins) is the one who steered me to ebay. It's a great affordable way to buy some awesome pins. We are also keeping the ones we like & will be traded the others when we go to WDW in September.

Hello, I'm new to both the Dis boards and pin trading as well!! On my last trip I was very hesitant about trading other park visitors but I managed to buck up the courage to trade a few pins with some cast members. Sometimes they were into it, sometimes they just asked me which one I wanted and that was that. They are required to trade you so I just try to get over my shyness and approach them! :cheer2:
