Hi everyone,

I've been lurking for quite some time, planning our family's first ever disney trip! :yay: (dks 9 & 6)

We're looking at going November 2010. Planning this is so much fun! Dh and I had never been to disney as a kid, so I don't know who's more excited.

I have to say though, the more I read, the more I change my mind. I've gone from off site, to onsite, from a value to a mod to a split stay at a deluxe. From no dining plan to a dining plan. I'm driving my dh crazy. :rotfl:

Hopefully I'll get my head on straight by Jan/Feb when I intend to book. I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions from all you experienced DIS boarders!

Welcome! Planning is a big part of the fun. Stay on site if you can. There is no comparison in the experience you will have! I have done both and since we started staying on site...I would never go back. It is so much more magical. You are immersed in magic 24/7.

Have fun planning!

Hello,

Welcome to the Dis boards and congrats on your trip. I have been to Disney 5 times and we are planning our 6th for Sept. 2010. I make my dh crazy each time because I change my mind tons. It doesn't matter if you have been there once or 10 times a lot of people do it.

The problem is there is to many wonderful things to do. I don't know how long you are planning to go, but just remember it is a huge place and you will not be able to do and see everything the first time. I would do lots of research with your family and have a plan. Look at it this way more reasons to have to go back.

Enjoy the planning and the trip don't get caught up in the craziness.:goodvibes

If I can help with any questions please ask.

Hello! I wanted to welcome you and to say hello myself...I'm sure your vaca will be great once you have all the details worked out!

:rotfl: Just keep notes on all that your thoughts and ideas and realize that you can just do the other things on your next trip, and your next, and your next. . . :goodvibes

We're planning on going a week - 10 days. It'll be dependent upon what days we get good deals on flights. But I'm not planning on seeing and doing everything. I know that won't happen, and I don't want to set ourselves up for disappointment. Besides, I like to have some down time as well.

And yes, I think staying onsite is the way we're going to go. Since it's our first time we'll want to do a few character meals. Plus, I don't want to be nickle and diming my way through our vacation - would much rather have it paid up front!

Looking forward to getting great tips from you all over the next year! :goodvibes
