Hello From A Newbie In Kansas!

I am new to the website. I was sent here by pigletforever. My hubby and I went to WDW for our honeymoon (3 days) in June 1998. Other than that we have never been.

I am wanting to plan a trip, most likely over Christmas. Two reasons for that time are that I will need that long to pay it off. Also I think it would be a wonderful time to go, and would make an awesome "family" Christmas present!!

I would appreciate any guidance and hints! Especially at navigating this massive webgroup! LOL!!!!

Welcome to dis. You all will love the information that can be gotten here. You will become addicated to it---but there are worst things to be addicated to.
First of all you people from Kansas. Where in Kansas? I grew up in SAlina and my dh grew up in Wichita until he was 15. Of course we are talking decades ago but I love talking to people from my home state.
As far as planning goes---study, read and plan, plan, plan. ( i don't mean plan to the point of stating which ride you will be on what time of day but at least a general idea of what day you will visit what park(s).
The disney dining plan is a must as far as I am concerned. If you choose to go over the Christmas holidays you must remember you will be going the busiest and most expensive time of year. However I have always wanted to see dwd at Christmas but my family would probably not be to happy with me (I do all the baking at Christmas time LOL). Remember anytime you go and anything you do is magical because it is disney!

We lived in Topeka and Lawrence both but only for 18 months each before we moved closer to DH's job in KC. Lawrence is a wonderful place. Now we're in Oklahoma and one of the things I miss most about Kansas is the ability to get to Orlando on a non-stop flight!!
