Hello! I am Michelle and I am from about 35 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. We are planning a trip to Disney World either Sept or Oct 2008. I am very new to the planning of a Disney Vacation and I am feeling quite overwhelmed. I want my 4 year old daughter to experience the Disney Princesses to the fullest since she is obsessed with them, as well as the other areas of the park. I don't know when we will be able to go back, so I'm going to try to get in as much as we possibly can. I was there once in 1986, but I was in high school and everything was planned for me. This is a whole new experience! So much more to see since I was there! They only had Disney and Epcot back then. This will be the first time for my husband and daughters.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and getting to know this site! There is ALOT of info here and I am trying to keep it all straight. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome. My sister lived in Beaver falls for a short time.
You will have a great time planning, definately the the "unofficial guide", that will keep you busy for awhile!
We also are taking our 4 year old daughter, but decided not to do all the "princessy" stuff, like eating at CRT and BBB, just because of the outrageous costs, and at 4, she won't even know she missed it.

Have fun!

Welcome to the dis. I'm sure you'll find everything you need here to help you plan your trip. :thumbsup2

Welcome! Make sure you book one of the princess dinners (there's nothing quite like eating in Cinderella's Castle) and definitely bring her to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where she can have her nails, hair and make-up done (or any combination), be dressed as a princess and called "princess" all day long at the parks. It's magical! :wizard:

Welcome to the Dis!!!! Just spend a little time on here, ask any questions you might have and all of the confusion of planning your first trip will start to clear up. You'll have it all down by the time you are planning your 10th trip!!! HA!!:wave2:

Welcome! If your daughter is into princesses, Then you should eat at the Grand Floridan. Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, and the 2 mice were there! We had great interactions with the characters and the food was great also!!!

Have a great vacation!

Welcome to the DIS. I'm about 100 miles south of you. Plan to spend about an hour or two a day on the boards. Ask any questions you want and you will get tons of info....

Have fun planning and have a great trip!

PS..my best advice if you're flying is Southwest. Get on their site and download their ding fares. I have saved untold dollars flying SW out of Pitt.

Welcome! LOTS of Disney princess things to experience! Our oldest was 4 the first time she went....it was absolutely magical for her and us!

Have fun plannin!:thumbsup2

I think one of the best places to have princess interaction in at Askerhaus in Norway. There are lots of princesses there, and the appetizer buffet is worth it! When we went my daughter loved that all the princesses came up to her and talked to her and took pictures with the autographs.

Hope you find what you are looking for!

Just wanted to add my PA welcome. I'm near Harrisburg. I cannot help with princess ideas---no kids---but keep reading. You'll have a wonderful trip from the info here.

I was born in Washington, Pa...welcome to these boards:) All I can add is just take it slow and let her take it all in. The breakfast with the Princesses is costly, and for the food, I would skip it again, but the interaction with the princesses was great. So I would say, pick and choose, but take it slow...and most of all, enjoy every moment as this time will never happen ever again.

I'm new to this board too! We are trying to go in june 08 with a family of 5.

9/11 NEVER FORGET!!!!!!!!!!!343
