Hi! I'm thrilled to finally join this community filled with Disney-loving people like myself.

I'm a former college program who now wants to work full time at Disney World. My program ended almost a year ago. I extended so I stayed there for a year and it was amazing. I actually graduated from college while I was still there even though my school was across the country from Florida! After my program was over, I returned home, found a pretty decent job for a new college grad., and worked as a seasonal employee at a Disney Store to help with my withdrawals haha. I've always planned to go back to FL eventually and work for Disney. Even if I have to work as an hourly employee. It's a passion. Anyways, I'm going back soon on vacation, and I want to apply in person at the Casting office. One of my friends from the CP ended her internship, went home in another state, and somehow got hired to work at DW again, I've asked her how she did it but for some reason she's evading that talk.

Does anyone know what the process is like? I have my heart set for it and I'm sure I want to do it. I'm in another state and I don't expect Disney to cover my moving expenses like some companies do with new out-of-area employees. I know they don't do it for such positions and I'm ready to do what it takes, I just need to know how to do this. I just go to Casting and ask for an application? What time do they open? Where to go..

I want to work my way up with the company. My greatest mistake was not staying after my program because I did have the chance to go full-time or seasonal when I was there, but at the moment I had to return home for reasons beyond my control. Ideally, I'd like one of those "office" jobs within the company (have a degree and plenty of experience and skills), but if be equally as happy with a hourly job at a park, hotel, or Downtown Disney.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and helping me out! If there's any way I can return the favor over the internet, let me know! Haha. I look forward to contributing to the boards and helping as much as I can. Have a magical day! :)

Welcome!

I am interested to hear answers to this question, as my DS says he wants to work for Disney, too! He has a few years to go, but it is his dream, as well!

Good luck! pixiedust:
