Hello everyone. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to make straight columns?

I was trying to make a list of dates, names, and resorts in the following thread:

And I try to use Hyphens (-) to make even columns, but when I hit the submit button the Hyphens may be equal distance apart, but the letters in the names are not all equal in width.

Any suggestions?

Remember I use WebTV.

Ray,

I don't know what you can and can't do via WebTV. Can you enter HTML tags? For example, if you needed to enter something like this, could you?

Will tt create straight columns and yes, I can use html.

Well, Ray, it isn't the best way but may be "a" way in that anything inside a &lttt> tag will be a fixed width font. That is to say that each letter will take up the same space horizontally so that the right number of spaces or hyphens would allow you line up columns.

You can see though that &lttt> alone will make for a very small font so you will need the &ltfont size=4> or something like it before it to make it readable.

I'm still looking for another way without having to go to tables. I'd rather not go that way as it is too easy to mess up a table.

One by dates, one by DIS name and one by resort. Call me crazy. Remember that I work 12-16 hour nights on weekends, so I'll update these lists on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

so what do these lists mean? just when different people are at different resorts at WDW?

I really think they would look better in Tables. Let me know if you want to do them that way.

Hi, Mike.

We had our first annual DIS Convention last December and this is a list to give everyone who might be there for DIS-CON II this December 4-8, 2002.

Some people like to see what day some people will be arriving, so I put the first list by earliest date and alphabetical if arrives on the same date.

Some people just want to see a specific DIS name so I put the second list in alphabetical order.

Still others want to see whose is staying in the same resort or closest resort to them, so I put the third list in alphabetical order by Resorts.

As different DISers post their dates and resorts, I add them.

Some DISers haven't made up their mind on dates or resorts and some have attended last year or expressed a pretty good interest in going to DIS-CON II.

This isn't an official list of attendees, but all the DISers that will be at the tentative dates of the DIS-CON II from December 4-8, 2002.

O.K., so I'm Disney crazy.

I use a WebTV for a computer and I can't download or use software life Patinmn's itenerary list. His is pretty cool!

And yes I can use HTML and I gues tables.

I sure would like to learn.

It took me hours just to figure how to line everything up neatly.
