I need your help!! I just found out my Uncle is leaving for Iraq in March. :sad1: I talked him into taking his family to Disney World before he leaves. This will be the familys first trip there. My question is, do you have any good ideas for a Christmas gift for them? I was thinking about a fanny pack, a guide book and some Disney dollars. :confused3 If you can think of something better please help me out. I want to make this Christmas extra special for the whole family.
Thank you for your help!!

Matching t-shirts, a goodie bag with sunscreen, an autograph book, a pen, pins to trade, and lanyards. You can buy the lanyards and pins on disneyshopping.com

Book the family magic tour at MK that was fun!

I would also call WDW to see if you can get some special things done like a good viewing spot for wishes and illuminations.

That's all I can think of for now.

Tell your Uncle we thank him for serving our country and tell his family thanks for serving as well. My DH was in the Navy so I know the sacrifices military families make, especially the spouses and kids. They didn't ask to serve the country but they do so with pride and honor.

Find out if you can sign him up to be the Veteran of the day and participate in the flag ceremony at the Magic Kingdom while they are there.

How about making the kids an autograph book.. Than I would work on getting pictures and help the kids/wife make a scrapbook of their trip! Maybe even while deployed they could send him a card w/ a favorite photo enclosed to remind him of the wonderful trip they shared!
Fill a goodie bag up for them.. with ponchos, sunscreen, lip balm (my kids licked their lips a thousand times a day!), glow sticks for the night parade...
I do like BernardandMissBianca's idea about calling about the best places to see Wishes or Illuminations!!!
Tell your Uncle thank you for us!! My brother served 2 tours of duty in the Navy in Afganistan/Iraq...and my cousin is serving his 3 tour of duty in Iraq as we speak.. I too understand the sacrifices our military families make...
