Well, I have been encouraged to make this my new "hang out". I am happy to do so. Ed, Donna,Michele,Manny,Kathryn and others have said this is the place to be. I had a BIG dissappointment happen to me on another board and was totally at a loss on how to handle it. Ed, gave me the best advice, "move on". So here I am. I do love Disney pins, especially Pooh - of course!! But what I love MOST is the friendships that develop and have thus enhanced my life. What a blessing!!
Through the other site I had the joy of meeting Janice AKA "goofy mom". She has become a dear friend along with June and Bob Ford, and the others I have already mentioned. That to me is what this is all about. Yes, It was GREAT for hubby Fred to trade for his "wet paint" this past weekend. But what made it more special is that the trade was done with someone we consider another dear friend, "super trader" Mike. Most of my bigger and special trades have been made with people that have become dear friends thru this hobby. And because of that we help each other get those pins we desire, or should I say, "crave". In exchange, we give back friendship and not just a pin to trade. I cannot stress enough how monumental this is to me. Friendships first, Pins seciond and self gratification, don't need it. the reward comes in seeing the smile on someone, whether it be an adult or child, who gets that pin from you and recieves some "magic" and a little pixie dust to go with it.
I know I've rambled on, but I 'm yes, call me crazy, I'm crying as I write this because of the hurt I've been thru, and how unneccesary it was. I have lost someone that I was foolish enough to think was a friend. It's not important for you to know who it was or what happened. Just keeps me in your thoughts and prayers, that time will heal the wound that is now open.
I'm thankful that I have another place to go to, and look forward to growing in new friendships
Thank you for letting me be a part of your family,
Blessings,
Winnie
