Thank you all for your answers ^_^ Very helpful! I do have another question, if I may? I have been getting conflicting answers on the
DAS card. I have a knee brace and use a clip cane (goes around the forearm). I can not stand in lines very long anymore. The longer I stand the more off balance I get. But if I sit to long, the knee locks up so I'm not sure if I want to use a
ECV. Will I be able to get a DAS with this? It would be ideal if I could get a return time and go sit or walk as needed. Thanks again!
to be honied this really is a mobility problem since you need a place to sit, you do not need a place to sit all the time to an
ECV is not helpful to you. I have heard of guest being mean to the CM ( for this very reason and getting a DAS card I was behind one at the MK when there was only one CM giving out DAS cards) and one time when getting a return time a space another guest was too at the same time as I was we both left about the same time as we were walking away he tells me ( I think this is his exact words) man getting this thing for my knee problems was so hard but now i get to go on 2x more rides. I looked at him confused and he said I had to go to GR ( I think he said 3 times) and every time the CM said no I had to get a little rude to get one, but now I can get a return time and then go on other rides while waiting. I had nothing to say to this man after this. another time ( agin at MK) I walked in the get my DAS card early in the mornings they do this where you pick up you packaged and some times there is only one CM in there I only got the end of what was said but the guest was almost yelling saying they had a hurt back and if they sat in a wheel chair or ECV it would make it worst the CM said they did not need to sit they could push it that the where no gerrentee for them to have a site some where ( things that I pointed out to you) finally the CM told the gust they were not going to give them a DAS card and would be calling security. the guest did leave after that while looking at me saying good luck.
with this said if you look on disney website
https://wdpromedia.disney.go.com/me...Disability-Access-Service-Card-2014-04-10.pdf
"Does a Guest whose disability is based on the necessity to use a wheelchair or
scooter need a DAS Card?
No, a Guest whose disability is based on the necessity to use a wheelchair or scooter does not need a DAS Card. Depending on the attraction, Guests utilizing a wheelchair or scooter will either wait in the standard queue or receive a return time at the attraction comparable to the current wait time. For some attractions at
Disneyland Resort, these Guests will go directly to an alternate entrance. Guests with additional needs should discuss them with Guest Relations."
I really this they should have also put need to site here
some other thing to think about is some lines have pre show where every one stands no matter what ( soaring caught floor things like this) where every guest stands for it.
I do not know how much you have to site but other people have said they have problems with needing to site ( for other resion I think this was a back problem) and they were not able to find a set any where and their back locked up and they ended up in a lot of pain ( I think they had to go back to there hotel room for a long rest)
disney has been taking benches out of the park it really is harder to find a place to site sometimes you can not even sit on the ground with out being in the way not too sure how you would do with getting up from the ground.
something I would do is get a roller ( thing thing with the set on it) and use this. this would give you a set when you need it and you would know you had one. there would be no looking no what if you can not find a place to sit what if you are stuck in a long line then you thought ( ride break down a test get hurts they have to put another ride car on the ride all of this things have happened to me plus a few other ) so ever with a DAS you can still be waiting a long time or if you do not have a roller or know where to get one a wheel chair would do this same. no you do not have to sit in it all the time you can push it you can leave it some where ( like if the morning you knee is good ) you can park it somewhere and walk around the land you are in. of you have any kinds of bag you can keep it in the set so you do not have to carry it with you all the time. the use the wheel chair or roller when you need it to either push or sit in.
also the DAS dose nothing for when you are waiting for the busses ( I do not know if you will be using disney busses or driving) but I have waited for over an hour ( one time 2 because there was a car accident and no busses could get to the MK for about 45 minutes and this happened right after the fire works)
