Hello,

It's been a while since of been on here but some of you may remember me? :wave2:

This past year we have been planning, saving and going on a trip to WDW - but now we are planning a trip back to DLP this spring :thumbsup2 Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed WDW but I'm really looking forward to returning to DLP after a bit of a break (in 2011 we went a few time in the year and I think we went a bit too much!)

Anyway since our last trip a few things have changed and I wonder if someone could help me?

Firstly I see the shareholders club has changed - our card runs till July so will I still be able to use it as normal in May?

Secondly our DS has turned three so will need his own ticket - I've read a few threads about CE Multivanatges and AP passes whereby you get a free childs pass with an adult one? Do I have that right?

Can someone explain to me how I obtain these passes? Do you get the finished article or do you have something to swop at the park? Do you have to have a French address?

Thank you so much in advance for your help :goodvibes

Hello and welcome back :goodvibes

Your shareholders card is good until it expires so no pbs with using it in May.

Re APs - yes at certain times of the year you can buy via CEM or Promoparcs a adult AP and get a free childs one

They send you by post a ticket which you use to enter the park and you have to go to the AP office with a photo id (passport/driving license) for each person (even children) and your permanent AP is made out there. They take your photo so you don't have to bring one.

CEM/Promoparcs send the tickets throughout Europe for around 6.50e postage so you don't have to have a French address to buy them.

Hth :goodvibes

yes you will.

yes, right again :).

you order and pay for them through cemultiavantages/promoparcs, they send you a temporary annual pass ticket each, you swap these (take your passports for ID) at the park. You don't need a French address.

Thank you so much in advance for your help :goodvibes

Hope this helps, and happy planning :goodvibes.

Thanks both! Okay so one last question - the APs I plan to buy is the type that includes parking. The first time I use them I will be driving in for a day trip so even though I haven't exchanged it when arrive the first time will I still be able to park for free?

Thanks!

Sorry I've just thought of one more! Does the year period begin from the date I purchase the AP or the date I first take it into the park?

Parking depends on the CM on the gate - officially it's no but some people have been let through for free.

You could always try and if refused come out, there's an exit on the left hand side - and follow the signs to Disney Village.

The parking there is staggered from 2€30 - 10€ for upto 24 hrs and you could also go and re park in the main DLP car park for free once you've done your APs

Your AP validity runs from the day you exchange it in the park as that's the day you sign your contract :thumbsup2

Thank you! Well it seems the free child ticket offer in on now so I will go ahead and order it, thanks!

Sorry to hijack your thread - pls can someone tell me about the fee you pay to promoparcs or CM? Is it a one off fee or do you have to pay it each time you buy from them? Want to buy our tickets now for the free children's ones but not sure if my parents want them too so would need to get theirs another day if they do...
Thanks!

(Also is there any difference btwn CM and promoparcs? Any benefit of booking with one over the other?)

The fee is a one off valid for a year.

CEM have a dearer fee (20€) compared to Promoparcs (14€) but their postage is cheaper so it works out the same in the end.

CEM have a lot more offers that could be interesting to you and their customer service is far superior. If we didn't have our own CE through work I'd go with CEM as I know personally a lot of the companies that they work with and trust their reputations :goodvibes

We bought our AP's through CEM last May. We found the service to be excellent, and (with the guidance of Carrie_Cat) found the whole process very simple and straight forward.

I went through Promoparcs because they had a more appropriate offer for us at the time. After a bit of confusion, I found their customer service to be brilliant! They replied to my emails really quickly and were very helpful. I believe they now offer an email option (unless that was just something special they did for me as they don't post to Australia anymore), so no need to pay postage either :thumbsup2

Ah that's interesting, thank you. I will contact them and find out if they will email it as that would save us a bit...signed up with CEM last night but haven't paid anything yet so will investigate promoparks a bit more first. Thanks!
