I was again lookign at rides in shamus Happy harbor area and noticed except the Shamu Express, its all height requirement of 42". Whats that all about, a carousel with a height restriction? I dont remember any ride being fast or scary- My ds is 3 1/2 and looking forward to riding here, but he is a small guy(38/39") Is this really done and enforced for these rides? Are any scary or fast?

Is it possible that is the height to ride alone? If you don't get an answer you could call and ask. I noticed the last carrousel (at the Phila zoo) that we went on I was at first confused by the height requirement, until I noticed that this was only for riders without an adult.

That is the posted height for a child to ride alone. I can't remember the height to ride...its pretty low for most.

Our DD, who was 36" last time we went, was able to go on several rides in Shamu's Happy Harbor with me or DH accompanying her. According to their website, guests under 42” tall accompanied by a supervising companion can ride the Sea Carousel, Jazzy Jellies, Swishy Fishies, Ocean Commotion and Flying Fiddler.

This is good to hear as my little guy is only 39 inches and would not like it if his older sister could ride and he couldn't. Glad to hear I can go on with him!
