Height requirements

We will be going to DL for the first time in Aug.... do they have something where you can measure the height when you enter the line....? or just before you board (after waiting in line)?

BOTH...and they will deny you even after the 1st CM says it is ok

My kiddo is 40 inches tall when her dr. measures her. I wouldn't go out of my way to make her taller if she wasn't, but since she is I want to make sure she doesn't get upset like the previous poster described. For being in hte business of kids, those CMs sure don't seem to know how unkind it is to tell a 3 year old they can ride and then change their minds! Any body know of any shoes that will give her a lift to a firm 41 or 42 inches?

Ha, I found these.......but I can totally see my 3 year old stumbling in them. Heehee. Will they make them take their shoes off if they are in tall shoes?

Nope, they look fine to me! It is so much easier with a girl, I have a boy so it's a bit trickier. I'm going to look online for some Timberlands. If not, my suggestion is to get thick odor eaters and put them in her shoes, even if it is just for the ride.

We ran into this problem at WDW. 40" for Splash Mt. and TOT. Daughter measured fine for Splash Mt. Was a full 2 inches shorter for TOT the same day. Very upsetting.

Another 'trick' is to have your child stand on the heel of his/her tennis shoe. It will push down inside the shoe, but by standing on it they gain half and inch to an inch in height and they don't look like they are standing on their toes to reach the bar. They can do this at the beginning of the line, go back to normal while waiting in line, and then do it again before they get measured just before boarding. Poofy hair also helps, but more so for girls than for boys!

OK, I think I solved the height issue. I went to Walgreens today and got a pair of Dr. Scholls massaging gel heel cushions. They were the thickest they had, about $6.99 for the pair in a women's size. This size is PERFECT for kids shoes, even my 3 year old son's size 10 shoes. Without the cushions he is 40.5" tall. With the cushions he is a mill. or two shy of 41", and that was without socks. And the plus side is my DS LOVES the cushions! They are so comfy and cushy, I love them too!

BTDT! I SO miss the colored wrist bands. We loved those.
