DS has a friend over who has the habit of just grabbing whatever he wants. Last time he was over, he saw a bag of Jolly Ranchers in the kitchen, said, "Jolly Ranchers!", grabbed a two handfulls and stuffed them in his pocket.

Well, we have a barrell of dog treats on the counter. They're puffy cheese flavored things. He just grabbed one and took a bite. :goodvibes Hey, I would have stopped him if I saw him, or if he asked first. :)

So how long was your reaction time after you noticed him going for it? ;) Does he know now he ate a dog treat? You should have said "UGH! You know what's IN that stuff??? :scared1:"

I remember years ago, there was this kid who kept coming into my house to snoop around during my DS's birthday party, and I kept having to come in and haul him out. One time, he was at my bedroom door with his hand on the knob and our big (125 lb) Black Lab was in there, and for a second, I thought...hhhmmm, what would happen if I let him open that door (Zack was a NICE dog, but intimidating)...bet he wouldn't come in the house alone anymore. But, nice as I am, I whispered loudly "I wouldn't open that door if I were you." And hauled him out one last time.

lol That would have been tempting.

He came to me with a half eaten one in his hand and said, "What are these?" At that point, I didn't know he'd eaten one yet and I said, "Oh, those are the dogs' treats." He made a face and started acting like he was going to spit. I tried not to laugh as I told him it wouldn't hurt him.
