For anyone who is interested, I emailed Guest Services recently to ask them if Heely's or other skate shoes are prohibited at the parks and this is the reply I received:
"Thank you for contacting Universal Orlando®. We do not prohibit our guests from using skate shoes in our parks. We simply ask that they be used safely and in consideration of our other guests.
Again, thank you for contacting us. We look forward to your visit.
Best regards

Universal Orlando®"
I contacted them because we have a trip planned for January and our son has asked "Santa" for Heelys. So, we wanted to make sure we weren't breaking any rules if we let him wear them at the parks.
I hope this doesn't start some big debate about safety issues and such. My husband has already been in a huge debate with other Disboarders on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board over that issue. I just thought some people might be interested to know that there is no official "rule" that says Heely's are prohibited at US/IOA.
