My keyboard is not working so great, slllloooowwwww, all of a sudden. I changed the battery but that did not seem to do much. Comes and goes. Is this a virus of some sort????

That happened to me a few years ago. It did turn out to be a virus.

More then likely a virus if you already changed batteries.

To be sure, you can grab an old plug in and try that.

If a virus, you need to get some scrubber software.

There is spybot, adaware, and others you can google up. Many are free, some work, some don't.

Get your pics, files etc backed up also in case, you have to restore your OS.

Before you do that though, try the cleaners and also see about your last OS restore point and see if you can back up to that point

Well, thanks everyone for the bad news

Don't know what I did or how long it will last but I tried to plug my old keyboard and mouse back in but couldn't get them working so decided I'd unplug the whole computer and start it back up... seems to have worked for the moment.

I desperately need a PC work-up but haven't had the time. My outlook express has been down now for weeks..

BTW I ran my Norton but no viruses showed up, don't know if that makes a difference or not...

This stuff is so greek to me
