Is anyone watching H-e-double-hockeysticks Kitchen?

Hey, sorry, but I'm not sure if it's an allowable word. :confused3 :teeth:

I try to watch it each time it comes on. I would be scared to death to be on that show!!

I'm watching but I'm not impressed. I don't understand how they can screw up risotto. I can also cook a steak and I know not to cut it before it rests. I wonder what ever happened to Matt's finger tip??!!!!

I liked Kitchen Disasters much more. HK is such an ANGRY show. I'm afraid that guy is going to have a freaking heart attack!!

I love the show! It's awesome. I watch the full episodes again on fox.com because I love the show so much. :)

This is the first season that I have watched and I am hooked. Don't ask me why, probably because there's nothing else on that I like. I was happy to see Rosann go, but that Jen girl needs to go soon too for her own safety. I think someone is going to knock her out. Between Chef and the other contestants I don't know who its going to be. Oh and Matt, what a BABY! That man really needs to get a grip before he chops off the rest of his finger. EWWW by the way!

My DBF and I watch it every week! It's fun to watch...some of them are great, but I can't believe that some of them actually cook for a living! :scared1:

I can't resist - let's see what happens!!!

Hell, hell's, hellish....

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Woo Hoooo! That was really walking on the wild side...but it looks like it's allowed!!

Now don't try to say ****************** or **************.....

(Just kidding here in case anyone is trying to figure out what those words might be - I promise they are just a random number of ***'s)

I've watched HK since the 1st season and later caught Ramsay's other shows (the UK version of Kitchen Disasters & the "F" Word) on BBC. He's MUCH less frightening on the latter two shows. :rotfl:

Maybe it's me, but HK is becoming too dramatic in its editing. I can accept GR's "tough love" in the Kitchen Disasters arena (he's trying to save the livelihood of "professionals"), but the continual brow-beating with the occasional dramatic compliment during HK begins to feel "manipulative". I.E., "Top Chef" (and whatever the Food Network version was called) has equally difficult challenges and the chefs aren't reduced to being called donkeys or cows.

In any event, if you have access to BBC reruns, I find the "F" Word the most enjoyable. GR actually gives cooking instructions to newbies, you see him interact (sweetly) with his family while trying to raise turkeys & pigs in his back "garden" :lmao: and he goes head-to-head with Brit celebrities in blind tastings.

(and...it doesn't hurt to watch him strip down to put on his chef's coat in the opening credits.)

We have past season and I will probally begin watching H E Double Hockey Stick here starting next week

Yes I have been watching it from the begining, it is one of the few shows I tivo

:

in an interview last year Chef Ramsey said he is MORE outspoken on HK than his shows on BBC, because american tv expects it. :confused3

I started watching GR on Kitchen Nightmares. I really love how he can go from being so harsh to being almost nurturing with some of these chefs and owners. But then to see him lash out like he does -- wow! Why do these people sign up for that? I hope he's not like that in real life with the people he works with. I did see him insult his matre d' one time (what's his name?) and the matre d' seemed to be smiling underneath it all like it was a joke.

So, who is the real Gordon Ramsey? :confused3

Okay, is it just me or should they have thrown away all of the stuff at Matt's station? They were looking for the finger tip as if they were going to just pick it out of the mess on the counter and continue making the meal. :scared1:

I love Hell's Kitchen.

Heck's Kitchen is my guilty pleasure. There, I admitted it. :rotfl2:

I love Hell's Kitchen.

ya know,, as much blood as that SHOULD have had,, I didn't see a drop on that board.......I think it was a reinactment;)

they NEVER would have served anything on THAT board, someone would have disenfected it.

also, I know it was too late, but I could have sworn the EMT put matts finger tip ON his finger before wrapping it up.. I dunno looked like he put 'something' on the end.. (wish I would have saved the episode.. is it on the website?)

Okay, that was really funny.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Hell's Kitchen!!!

It is so over-the-top! I love when Gordon calls the chefs stuff like "stupid donkeys" or "doughnuts".

I watch his BBC shows also and I do find that he is more "intense" (i.e., screaming and yelling) on the American shows (HK and the American version of Kitchen Nightmares).

DH loves the show too, but he doesn't know that inside I am secretly lusting over Gordon. :lovestruc
