I've rented the Pride Victory 10 from Apple Scooters in the past and have been very happy with both the scooter and with their service. I have a chronic pain condition and the jarring on some of the uneven pavement is very painful for me so I was looking at the Maxima from Buena Vista. Can anyone give me a comparative review? Is the added shock absorption enough to make a difference? Are they as easy to maneuver, especially on the bus? Because of the multi-day rate that Apple offers on the Victory 10 the Maxima ends up costing about $100 more for the length of my trip. Is it worth it?

We like the Pride Victory. We never used the Maxima. I would assume the Maxima would have a better ride.

Do you have a local medical scooter supply store that carries a Maxima? If so, you could check it out. The scooter stores are very nice about letting you test drive one and so forth.

Also, consider a 4-wheel scooter if you have only done a three wheel. I think that would help you a lot. It will be slightly harder to make turns and such, but it will be a more stable ride.

That's a good idea, I hadn't thought of going to a store here. I'll also look into the other models that have 4 wheels :)
