Heating lamps in December?

I've read how the weather can vary in December. I was picturing sitting outside to watch fireworks at restaurants like the one in the GF but wondered if it will be too cold. Do they have heating lamps at those places (and at ones in MK)?

I am not aware of any GF restaurant that you dine "outside" and can observe the MK fireworks. Which restaurant are you thinking about?

Oh, see what a newbie I am (have never been to WDW). I thought that Narcoosee's would have a patio. ::rollseyes::

What are the best restaurants to view fireworks from (any of the fireworks)? Thx.

Most of the outdoor dining areas have those propane heaters running on them.

I have seen them, for instance, on the upper and lower patio at trhe Rose and Crown.

Narcoossee's does have an outside patio, but it's not set up for eating a meal out there. Gasparilla's Grill at the GF does have outdoor seating that gives you a perfect view of the fireworks. Gasparilla's is 24 hour counter service however and not a full service restaurant.

We ate at the Rose & Crown last January and as the above poster mentioned, they did in fact have the propane heaters on the deck.

I think the view of the MK fireworks from the California Grill in the Contemporary is one of the best. We were there in December a few years ago, and I completely forgot about the fireworks. It was just by chance that I booked a PS at CG right when the fireworks were taking place. They turn down the lights and pipe in the music. Really beautiful.

And slightly OT, really be prepared for anything in December! Layering is best. Even if it's cold outside, they keep the indoor attractions very warm, so you'll want to be able to take off an outer layer. During our 6 day stay, 2 days were in the 70's-80's, and the other 4 were in the 40's!!!
