Heathrow to Gatwick Question

I just found out I have to go to London on Saturday and will need to leave there and go straight to Orlando for my cruise.

I am flying on Delta into Heathrow and the office is near there, we are staying at the London-Heathrow Crowne Plaza. However, the best flight on Delta getting to Orlando on May 8 leaves out of Gatwick.

I was able to google a lot of options, so my question is this, which option is best (i.e. easy/ cheap) way to get from the Heathrow area to Gatwick? My flight would be at 9am on a Friday morning.

I'm sticking w/ Delta in hopes of getting an upgrade - I hate flying coach over the pond :scared1:

i think you'll probably have to go into london then back out again. there's direct trains from both airports into the centre of london, heathrow is also on the london underground.

I think the train is probably your best option. It looks like it would take approx 90mins with one change at Victoria.

Have a look at this site, where you can plan your journey.... http://nationalrail.co.uk/

There is also a direct coach link between the two airports.

Claire ;)

Thanks for the assistance, I ended up sucking it up and switching to United, no chance of an upgrade but at least I don't have to get up so early to get all the way across to Gatwick.

Now I just need to figure out what to do over the weekend. Any new plays I shouldn't miss???
