Starting approx on Thursday, the 13th through the weekend, we will be getting record breaking heat. Expect temps in the high 90's. Also expecting winds, so the fire danger will also be high and fireworks may be canceled.

Oh that is a bummer! It is much too hot for november! Also I hope the fire season isn't so bad this year.

Grr...have to get out the summer clothes again. Thanks for the info!

Though I don't mind the warmer weather, seems odd to be looking at Christmans decor and have it be in the 90's. Don't know, maybe just me. :confused3

Weather channel looks like mid 80's. :confused3 Where would be a more acurate source. We are going on the 19-25th and would like to be prepared. If what you are saying is true then our weather channel report is not accurate!

I live in NorCal and it's getting cooler up here.

I also looked at weather.com and it did say mid-80's. Still shorts weather to me. I'm sure it will get chilly in the evening though, yes?

Once the sun goes down though, that temp sure does drop!

It's always a little warmer in the park than in Anaheim in general.

Yes, it should cool down in the evening and it might be a little chilly in the morning too. We're going on the 13th and are planning on wearing jeans and t-shirts and bringing sweatshirts with us. Of course if you "forget" to bring a sweatshirt you can always buy one there. ;)

Heh, we're in Southern Arizona, 90 is walking around weather. I'm in a sweater and fuzzy boots by 70.

This morning one weather forecaster said 97 degrees on Friday and another said 90 degrees. I think the point is, we're going to have unseasonably warm weather this coming weekend! But like someone already said, it does cool down in the evenings. I turned on our heater this morning for the first time in about 6-7 months.

I read the NOAA weather discussions and they've been talking about this for about a couple of weeks now.

"HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORDS WILL ALSO BE AT RISK FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BY MID-MONTH WITH HIGHS WELL INTO THE 90'S....100'S"

And the local So Cal TV's are now talking about it.

BTW: By the 19th, temps should be back to normal. Long range discussions are starting to talk about a stormy Thanksgiving period throughout the country.

I live in San Antonio so the heat doesn't bother us. But.. the high winds are a concern. We have been to DL 3 different times and still have never seen the fireworks. Those darn Santa Ana winds!!! We're hoping to be successful this time around :thumbsup2

How cool does it get in the evenings this time of year? Is a fleece jacket heavy enough? What about gloves?

if you are going during the forecasted heat wave, i seriously doubt you will have ANY need for fleece jackets and gloves. it's true that during normal summer months, the weather really does cool once the sun goes down, but during a heat wave, if the santa ana's are blowing, it likely will not cool down enough to need a jacket.

Awww man...I'm gonna be there Friday and I was hoping it'd be a nice sunny cool day.
I guess I gotta break out the Disney spray fan! That thing has saved my life on HOT Disneyland days! :thumbsup2

you are going to COOK if you wear jeans.

I'll wait until Thursday morning to make the final decision but I live in SoCal and have been wearing jeans the past month or so and have been fine. I get cold easily so I would rather be a bit on the warm side during the afternoon than be freezing in the morning and evening. But if it looks like it won't cool down then I'll rethink my plan. I'll actually be 10 min from DLR on Wednesday afternoon so i'll get a good feel for how the weather could be Thrus. although I think it is supposed to be hotter on Thurs than Wed. So we'll see what my final wardrobe decision is. :)
