Heartbroken. . . .

I'm soo sad. It doesn't look like DFi and I will be headed to WDW anytime soon. Unfortunately, we suddenly need a new car. . . which is really tough because we are really close to having our current car paid off. . . and booking our First Disney Trip within the next few months. I feel soo grateful, because things could be so much worse. I'm grateful we have eachother and that we're both pretty healthy with a place to call home . . . but I can't help but be a bit sad because looking forward to this trip has gotten DFi and I through quite a few tough times since we started planning in June. I guess all I'm looking for is a few prayers that things get better for us. . . and maybe next year we can start planning for a trip in 2009.

I would be heartbroken too. Unfortunately, cars are a necessity. Hold on to your pixie dust... ...by then you'll be a mouseketeer and be so well organized for your trip.

I understand how you must be feeling. The past couple of years have been a tough one for my family. This year has been the first ray of sunlight financially so it's been tricky with my planning for WDW and our budget.Smiles,a good laugh,hugs and positive thoughts seem to work for us. Hi Erica, Dont be sad.. 2009 will be here before you know it! The years are just flying by PLUS it will give you that much more time to save... Just keep thinking this is something that you really want to do & you will do it.

Everybody has to save for a vacation and there are always things that might pop up. I make it a point to put away money each week for it, even if its a change jar or a $1.00 a day/week it still addds up and before you know it, that money that you thought was no big deal can pay for a nice trip...

I hope pixie dust falls all over you and your dfi.

I am so sorry! I know how you must be feeling! When is the wedding(you're such a cute couple by the way)? God has a way of working things out, maybe not on your time frame, but definately for the better! Is a honeymoom in WDW in your future? Talk about dreams coming true! I said a little prayer for you!

I am sorry. I know it is rough when you have to cancel a vacation and especially a Disney one at that. You can join me in planning for 2009 though! We don't go unless we have it all paid for up front so the saving is half the fun for me. We put back a certain amount of money each week and then have a big change jar that we put any extra change and even bills in. It does add up fast. I use a high interest savings account to put my disney savings into.

Things will get better and you will be able to plan another trip. It seems a long way off now, but it will be here quicker than you know. You have a great attitude, and that will pay off. You can always book a trip for next year and start paying for it little by little. We always book our trips a year in advance and pay on them. Try to stay positive and good luck to you.
