Was actually surfing to find a hotel near Heathrow airport with deaf alert package (uk law is very different hotels are not forced by law to provide accessibility so most don't bother).
Still waiting for an email back from major hotel brand as to what they provide but stumbled across this on the Paris Disney website
.

"The Disney Parks information points, as well as some Walt Disney Studios® Park attractions, are equipped with induction loops. The attractions are: CinéMagique , Animagique® , Disney Junior Live on Stage !, Stitch Live! and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™.

A Cast Member will show you where they are located on the attraction. In all other attractions, the sound content is not essential to your enjoyment. Some thrill attractions may cause dizziness, vertigo or loss of balance.

Take a look at the Disney Parks® Accessibility Maps for further details."

So basically I'm only aloud to enjoy four shows/rides with sound and then only if I can get my hearing aids to pick up the loop system no other accessibility. And people wonder why I go to Orlando not Paris.

allowed? no. it merely means that audio stimulation is not a vital part of other experiences. personally I find that some of the rides would be easier to enjoy WITHOUT all the sound.

not quite the same thing, but when we lived in Japan, we regularly went to Tokyo Disney/Disney Sea. everything is in Japanese. including It's a small world" couldn't understand a word being said anywhere, including a very cool walk through of the castle that came with a guide and a story. still had a blast.

that doesn't even factor in the different rules for accessibility in Europe.

I didn't phrase the end bit very well, was more annoyed about the different standard I don't expect to hear everything but at WDW they have cc captions, hand held captions, reflective captions, handheld loop assisted listening. I can't sign but know they also have sign interpreters.
I know I can enjoy it without sound I spend most of my life enjoy things only catching half the sound. It was the difference in provisions that annoyed me.

The wording sound content is not essential to your enjoyment, well no I know that but I would enjoy it more with the back story.

I will admit I'm in a bad mood because I'm struggling to get an answer about the hotel room something that should surely be their website, if not then have the courtesy to answer my emails.

@mellowyellowuk I do agree with you - WDW has some the best (if not THE best) accommodations in general for those of us who are differently abled.

It's tough - when I look at traveling in other countries, I quickly realize that even with a super-lightweight personal mobility device and an incredibly supportive family, it's going to be difficult at best, miserable and untenable at worst.

I would suggest spending your money, and your much-anticipated holiday time someplace where you can really enjoy yourself. I agree - it's kind of shocking to see that Disney Parks worldwide don't carry the same high standard of accessibility that WDW does.

Until the rest of them do, just know we will always be glad to see you visit us here in America! :)
